Suspect:  Adella Abeita, age 41, Albuquerque, NM

Charged:  Battery

On 8/27/12 deputy was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to a battery.  Both victim and suspect were incarcerated at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  Suspect told victim not to use up her phone card.  Suspect then walked up to victim and hit her with an open hand on the right side of her face.  Victim had redness to the right side of her face and her glasses were bent.  Suspect was charged and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Victim reported to Deputy that on todays date between the hours of 8am and 6pm unknown persons entered his home through a window. Once inside the vicitm stated they stole the listed items from in the home.  Case is still under investigation.

Stolen: Expended Fire Extinguisher, Four Kitchen Knives ($130.00)

On the above date, victim reported sometime between August 24, 2012 3:00 p.m. and August 27, 2012 7:00 a.m. unknown suspects gained entry into The Santa Cruz Senior Center through unlocked window. Once inside suspect(s) stole the above items and damaged a door. Suspect is pending further investigation.

On Sunday, August 26, 2012 at approximately 11:00 PM the suspect was found to be in possession of a tar like substance at the location.  The substance is suspected of being heroin

Victim:  Male:  71, Santa Cruz, NM

Suspect:  Male 30, Santa Cruz, NM

On Sunday, August, 26, 2012 at 9:03 PM the suspect was involved in a Domestic Disturbance at  a residence at the location.  During the altercation the suspect damaged a door, electronics and walls in tghe residence.

0212013464 Death Investigation 08/26/2012

Location: Moya Road (Eldorado area)

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a death investigation. The victim (17 year old male) was found unresponsive and not breathing by a family member. CPR was conducted but was unsuccessful. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Vehicle:  Green, 2005, Toyota, 2 door

Suspect:  Melissa Garcia, 32, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Roadways Laned for Traffic

On Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 10:42 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location.  For reason(s) unknown the suspect lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the right side and striking a drit embankment.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test.  The suspect was transported by Santa Fe County Fire Department Ambulance to Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

Suspect:  Alma Anaya, age 34, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery

On 8/26/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to an inmate being assaulted.  Corrections officer advised that the suspect battered another inmate by punching her multiple times in the face.  Victim had multiple bruises on her face and a laceration over her left eye.  Suspect was charged and booked accordingly.

Location:  4186 Cheyenne Circle, Santa Fe, NM (Vista Primera Subdivision)

Suspect:  Luiz Bertelli, age 57, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery on a household member

On 8/26/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a domestic dispute.  Victim stated that suspect grabbed her by the arm and hit her head.  Suspect ripped the shirt off of the victim and threw a circular container at victim.    Victim had minor injuries to her wrist area.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Case#: 0212013346/ Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 8/24/12

Location:  5300 block of Agua Fria, Santa Fe, NM

On 8/24/12 between the hours of 0740 and 1648 an unknown person cut the screen on the kitchen window and entered the home.  Suspects shoe impressions were found throughout the residence.  Nothing appeared to have been taken.  Estimated damage amount is $50.00.
