On 8/25/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that between the hours of 0700 and 1700 her father in law broke into her residence and took her husband's belongings in which she left in a corner in the livingroom. Victim stated that her husband's truck was also taken. Victim stated that she has an active restraining order on her husband and he is now incarcerated. Victim stated that her father in law gained entry from the back door and removed the plastic covering the window. Father in law did not have permission to go into the residence. Father in law admitted to going to the residence.

On 8/25/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to a larceny. Victim stated that she left her residence at 0700 and returned at 1730 to find items missing from within her residence. Victim stated that her son advised her that he lost his key to the residence and believes he might have stolen the items. Victim stated that she noticed a bottle of Tequila and several bottles of Powerade missing from the refridgerator. Victim stated that she noticed several pieces of jewelry and 6 bolo ties missing from her room. Estimated value of items taken is $2380.00.

Stolen: Ten (10) silver children's rings, One (1) mens turquoise ring, Ten (10) ladies turquoise rings, Four (4) sterling bracelets, Six (6) turquoise earrings, Thirty (30) hand painted antique earrings, One (1) cooler containing an unknown amount of bottled water, One (1) extension cord, One (1) 12pk of cherry coca-cola, and One (1) 12pk 7up.
Victim reported on August 23, 2012 between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim’s garage and took the above items. There were signs of forced entry to a screen on the garage. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Victim reported that sometime between August 23, 2012 during the morning hours and August 26, 2012 at 9:41am unknown person(s) gained forced unlawful/unathorized entry into a hay barn at the location and stole the above items. This case is currently under investigation.

Traffic
On Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 12:35 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the location and was unable to maintain a single lane of travel. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .08 or greater. A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the arrest cause attached. The vehicle was not seized in accordance with Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 as this incident occurred within the city limits of Santa Fe.

Arrested: Jose Ramon Caro 44 years old,Santa FeNM
Deputy conducted a traffic stop at the above location with the suspect vehicle. Drive displayed signs of impairment. SFST’s were conducted and the driver was placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect was arrested and charged with above charges, and booked into Santa Fe County Jail.

Victim reported he had received a letter from Capital One advising him that someone had opened an account using his social security number and other information about him. Victim cancelled the account and was advised to make a police report. Victim was not provided any information about the suspect or the suspect's possible location.

On 8/24/12 deputy was dispatched to a burglary. Victim stated that between the hours of 1145 and 1215 unknown persons gained entry into her residence through an opened patio door. Victim stated that the suspects stole a Sony flatscreen TV and an Apple laptop computer. Estimated value of items taken is $1500.00.

On above date deputies were dispatched to above address in reference to a missing person. The reporting party wanted to report that her son 25 year old son walked away from the residence between 10:00 pm on Friday August 24, 2012 and 7:00 am on Saturday August 25, 2012.

Joseph Ortiz, 25 yoa, 5'11, 187 lbs, short brown hair, brown eyes, and unknown clothing description. Subject is from California and is visiting SF, NM. Should be considered to be endangered. He was entered into NCIC and the Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
