Case#: 0212012101/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 08/04/12

Location:  residence off of Herrera Homestead, Madrid, NM (off of SR 14)

On 8/4/12 victim reported that sometime between 7/18/12 and 8/4/12 at 1130 hours unknown suspects removed the lock to the main gate, cut away 80 feet of barbed wire and broke the front door to the residence.  Victim stated that once inside suspects stole  roofing material, a washing machine, and 2 wood stoves.  Estimated value of items taken is $1200.00.

Location:  residence off of Perez Lane, Santa Fe, NM (Pojoaque)

On 8/4/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated between 8/3/12 at 1530 hours and 8/4/12 at 1500 hours unknown suspect gained entry into his residence through a side window.  Victim stated that the suspects took a 27" flat screen TV, 2 Nintendo Wii gaming systems with 3 controllers and a 17" flat screen computer monitor.  Estimated value of items taken is $900.00.

Location: Camino Benevidez    NM 599 Frontage Rd

Suspect: Pending

Victim reports unlocked 1999 Subaru entered between 8/2/12 and 8/3/12.  Nothing reported missing however an electrical wire underneath the glove box was cut.  Case is under investigation. 

0212012085 Aggravated DWI 8-4-12

Location:Airport Road/Lopez Lane

Arrested: Josina Romero-Chavez 38 yrs old

Driver was stopped by Sheriff Deputies for a traffic violation. She was administered SFST’s where he displayed signs of impairment. Driver was placed under arrest for Aggravated DWI. Driver was booked accordingly into Santa Fe County Jail.

0212012116 Larceny 8-4-12

Location: Paseo de Coyote

Stolen: Four Diamond Rings

Victim reported that on 8-3-12 she brought over a female to do some gardening at her residence. Victim stated that the female brought along another male subject to the residence that possibly went into her residence without her knowing and stole the above stated items. Case is still under investigation.

The above property was valued at approximately $19,510.

0212012118 Battery Against a Household Member 8-4-12

Arrested: Gabriel Valenzuela-Morales

On 8-4-12 Deputies responded to a domestic dispute. Victim reported she was battered by her husband and sustained a swollen left eye. Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly at the Santa Fe County Jail.

Case#: 0212012036/ Embezzlement/ Date: 08/03/12

Location:  131 Peaks Place, Santa Fe, NM (Tesuque MHP)

Victim stated in September of 2010 he was incarcerated. While being detained victim gave possession of 2  firearms and ammo to his nephew while he was in jail. Victim stated after being released he confronted the suspect and suspect stated he sold the guns for drugs. Estimated value of the items are $1800.00.

Location:  2800 block of State Road 14, Madrid, NM

On 8/3/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to a larceny.  Victim stated that the suspect who is his ex-boyfriend stole $3000.00 from a lock box which was located inside the residence.  Victim stated that this occurred between 0930 and 1730 hours.  Victim stated that the suspect stated that he was leaving to Arizona.

Charges: Battery Upon a Household Member

On 08-03-2012 Deputies were dispatched to the above location in regards to a domestic dispute. During the investigation it was determined the above individual had battered a household member. She was placed under arrest and booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

On 08-03-2012 at about 10:45am, the above individual was placed under arrest for an active bench warrant issued out of the Santa Fe Magistrate Court. The above individual was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility accordingly.
