Case#: 02120020016/ Driving while license is suspended-revoked, Expired registration/ Date: 02/06/12

Suspect:  Fabian Valdez, age 32, Alcalde, NM

Charged:  Driving while license is revoked, Expired registration

On 2/6/12 vehicle was traveling northbound on US84/285.  Deputy could not see the registration tag and ran the plate through dispatch.  RECC advised that the registration tag had expired 1/2012.  A traffic stop was conducted and upon speaking with the suspect, he advised that his license was revoked.  RECC ran the suspect through DMV and confirmed that the license was revoked with the arrest clause.  Driver was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  The vehicle was seized as per the county ordinance.

Location:  business off of Bisbee Court, Santa Fe, NM  (off of SR 14)

On 2/6/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a stolen trailer.  Complainant stated that sometime between 2/4/12 at 1200 and 2/6/12 at 0800 a 16ft utility trailer was taken.  Estimated value of the trailer is $3000.00.  Complainant stated that suspects cut the chain lock to the fence and took the trailer.  Estimated value of the locks is $150.00.

On February06, 2012 the above suspect was taken into custody at the above location

on a warrant issed by the First Judicial District Court for Failure to Comply with Electronic

Monitoring on the original charge of Residential Burglary.

Arrested: Martin Sweeney, 56-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

    On 02-05-2012 at about 11:56p.m. Mr. Sweeney's vehicle, a 2010 gray in color Chevrolet SUV was observed making an improper left turn onto Carson Valley Way from Southbound State Road 14.  A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Mr. Sweeney who after performing field sobriety tests was found to be intoxicated.  He was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail. 

Case#0212001982 / Aggravated Assault Against a Household Member / 02-05-2012

Location: Residence on Canada Ancha, Chimayo New Mexcio

    On 02-05-2012 at about 10:00p.m. a 17-year-old male and his mother were involved in a verbal argument.  The 17-year-old male told his mother he was going to stabb her.  He got a butter knife from the kitchen and sat down on the livingroom couch.  He then left the scene prior to Deputies arrival.  He was not located at the time of the investigation.

Location: Residence in the 500 bloock of State Road 76, Northern Santa Fe County

Items stolen: Compact lap top computer, 30" flat screen tv and a Sony Play Station.

Total value: $630.00

    On 02-05-2012 between the hours of 3:50p.m. and 5:30p.m. unknown suspects entered the victim's residence through an unlocked door and stole the above listed items from within the home.

Stolen: 120 bails of hay

Victim reported that sometime 1-26-12 and 2-4-12 unknown suspect(s) suspects stole 120 bails of hay from with a barn. It was found that a chain holding the barn doors closed was cut. Case is still under investigation.

Victim stated that listed vehicle was last seen in September 2011 in possession of a family member. Victim stated that she paid the vehicle off completely and has possession of the title but the vehicle has not been located. Case is under investigation.
