Victim reports home entered by force through rear window sometime between 12/15/11 and this date.  Various DVDs, video games, a snowboard and jewelry reported missing.  Case is under investigation.

Case#0211018708 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property / 12-21-2011

Location: residence on the 7000 block of Old Santa Fe Trail

Items stolen: several pieces of jewelry valued at $33,400.00.

Item damaged: window valued at $400.00

    On 12-21-2011 between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim's residence by breaking a window.  The suspect stole several pieces of jewelry from within the residence valued at approximately $33,400.00.  No other items were reported stolen from the residence.  The investigation is ongoing.

Stole: Gold Trumpet, Wallet, CD Case with Various Music CD's, and $50.00 US Currency Estimated Value: $710.00

Suspect(s): Pending

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to an auto burglary.  Victim reports her 1999 Gold in Color Chrysler Town and Country Van was broken into sometime between December 20, 2011 at 5:00pm and December 21, 2011 at 5:00pm.  Suspects gained entry through an unlocked door. Once inside the above items were stolen.  Case still under investigation.

Stolen: Playstation 3, DVD Movies (25), Playstation 3 Video Games (2) Estimated Total Value $510.00

Suspect(s): Pending

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a Residential Burglary.  Victim reports sometime between the hours of 2:10pm and 3:51pm on todays date unknown suspect(s) gained forced entry through the front door.  Once inside the above items were stolen.  Estimated Value of damage $20.00.  Case still under investigation.

Victim reported to Deputy sometime between 12-19-2011 at 1230 hours and 12-20-2011 at 930 hours unknown persons gained entry into his home and stole the listed items. Victim stated that the value of the items is estimated to be at $7000.00

Victim reported to Deputy that while snowboarding, he left his snowboard outside unattended. Victim stated that when he returned to get the board he noticed that the board was missing. Case is still under investigation.

Victim stated while she allowed relatives to stay at her home they stole the listed items. Victim stated that the relatives may be using drugs and may have stolen the items to support thier habit. Case is still under investigation.

0211018667 / DWI / 12-20-2011

Deputy Assigned: S. Maloney

Location: State Road 599 at the East Frontage Road.

Arrested:  Marshall Garcia, 58-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

    On 12-20-2011 at about 11:00pm the Sheriff's Office received a report of a reckless driver from Drunk Busters. The caller reported a silver in color small Chevrolet truck was traveling northbound on I-25 approaching State Road 599 and was swerving all over the road. The caller also provided the license plate displayed on the truck. Deputies were dispatched to the area and located the Chevy truck as it took the 599 exit. A traffic stop was conducted on the truck at 599 and the east Frontage Road. Contact was made with the driver, Mr. Garcia who was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and submitted to a breath test prior to being booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

On December 19,  2011 the above suspect was taken into custody at the above location

on a warrant issued by Santa Fe Magistrate Court for Failure to Pay Fines on the original

charge of DWI.
