On 2/14/10, suspect was driving a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country Van, bearing NM plate# 785-SGY, in the parking lot of the Corrections Academy, and struck a Santa Fe Police Department Police Officers unit. Suspect was found to be intoxicated, and was arresteded, charged, and booked accordingly. Breath tests results were .21/.22

On 2/13/10 victim stated sometime between the hours of 1800 on 2/12/10 and 1020 this date an unknown persons burglarized his residence. Forced entry into victim's home was through the east bedroom window. Unknown persons then stole 4 handguns, a 12 gauge shotgun, a 25" flatscreen TV, misc. ammunition, $100.00 in US Currency, and 3 pair of Nike tennis shoes. Estimated value amount of items taken is $2700.00. Estimated damage amount is $300.00.

On 2/13/10 victim was found deceased at his residence at about 0730 hours. A friend of the victim stated she arrived at victim's residence and found the victim deceased on his wheelchair. Victim had a lengthy history of medical illness and was in the process of receiving hospice care. OMI determined the cause of death to be natural.

Victim reported that she recently received her bank statement in the mail and discovered that there were five seperate unauthorized purchases made during the month of January 2010, which totaled $913.00. Victim advised that she does not know how or by who, her bank checking account was accessed.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute and discovered that Greg Smith had battered a household member, damaged property and interefered with telecommunications. Victim suffered minor injury. Smith was booked accordingly.

On 2-13-2010 at 12:13 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location and was swerving and almost struck another vehicle. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and submiitted to a Blood Alcohol Test. The blood sample will be forwarded to the Scientific Laboratory Division for analysis.
