On 1/21/10 victim left his home at 0800 hours and returned at 1700 hours.  Victim discovered unknown footprints in the snow near the driveway and the front door to his residence kicked in.  Victim stated that he noticed his flatscreen TV, a HP laptop computer, an Apple laptop computer and an Apple Ipod missing from within his residence.  Victim stated that unknown suspects also ransacked the residence.  Estimated amount of items taken is $4299.00.  Estimated damage amount is $500.00.

Victim reported that sometime between 10:00 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2010 and 6:00 a.m. on Jan. 21, 2010 several power tools and hand tools valued at $880.00 were stolen from underneath the carport at his residence.  No suspect or witness information is available at this time.

 Sometime between 10:00PM on 01-20-10 and 8:00AM on 0121-10 someone gained entry to the victim's unlocked vehicle and stole some prescription drugs and some miscellanous CDs.

Location:  3 San Mateo Court, Santa Fe, NM (Valle Vista Subdivision)

Suspect:  Jacob Gomez, age 24, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Burglary, Possession of a controlled substance to wit: Heroin, Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon, Criminal Damage to Property

On 1/20/10 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to an assault in progress.  Investigation revealed that suspect pried open door with a knife and once inside assaulted victim's boyfriend with the knife.  Suspect then fled the area and was located at the Santa Fe Apartments where he was in possession of heroin.  Estimated damage amount is pending.  Suspect was then arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On 1/20/10 victim reported that between 1700 and 1945 hours unknown persons broke into her home by forcing open the rear door.  Once inside the suspects stole a digital camera, a video camera and 1 pair of diamond earrings.  Estimated value of items taken is $1970.00.  Suspects also broke a window to the residence.  Estimated damage amount is $300.00.

Suspect:  Michael Herrera, age 33, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated Assault on a peace officer

On 1/20/10 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a man down.  Upon locating the male, he was uncompliant and the male then pulled out a knife and lunged at deputy.  Suspect was tased and placed under arrest.  Suspect was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  Suspect was also found to have an active bench warrant out of Santa Fe Magistrate Court and was served with it.

On 1/20/10 suspect was arrested on a bench warrant out of the First Judicial Court for failure to comply with conditions of release from the Electronic Monitoring Program.  Suspect was then transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center and booked accordingly.

Sometime between 01-18-10 5:00 PM and 01-20-10 12:00 PM someone gained unlawful entry to the victim's residence that is under construction and stole several construction tools.

0210000507 Aggravated DWI 01-19-2010

Arrested: Ismael Cardenas 25yoa

On the above date, the above named officer responded to the above location regarding a vehicle parked on the highway.  Upon making contact with the defendant, he admitted to driving the vehicle.  When asked how much alcohol he had consumed, he replied, "Not enough".  Defendant refused to submit to field tests and breath test and was charged aggravated.  He was transported and booked at the adult detention center.  for further information, refer to officer's report.

On 1/19/10 victim stated that her son and his girlfriend went into her residence and stole items from within.  Victim stated that the items stolen were several watches, misc. jewelry, photo albums, 2 cell phones and a mini tea set.  Estimated value of items taken is $1330.00.
