Case#: 0210000502/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 01/19/10

Location:  State Road 502 and State Road 4, Santa Fe, NM

On 1/19/10 unknown suspects entered victim's vehicle through a passenger side window.  Suspects rummaged through victim's personal items and took a Kenwood CD player.  Suspects also damaged the exterior of the vehicle by cutting through the roof and damaged the trunk when trying to force entry.  Estimated value of items taken is $400.00.  Estimated damage amount is $3000.00.

Victim:  67-year-old male

 

On January 19, 2010 at approximately 11:52 a.m. deputies responded to a residence at the above location in reference to a 67-year-old male who was unresponsive.  CPR was done on the male by paramedics although he could not be revived.  Victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The victim suffered from a medical condition and was currently under doctor care.  No signs of foul play were discoved.  All indications at this time suggest that this death is from natural causes.

Sometime between 01-16-10 6:00 PM and 01-19-10 10:40 AM someone forced entry to the victim's shed and stole several cleaning supplies.

Arrested: Cynthia Ayala - age 27, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies responded to a report of three disorderly females. Investigation showed there was a physical altercation and two of the females were family members. The primary agressor was placed under arrest and booked into ADC.

Suspect: Laura Warnest, Age: 29  Santa Fe

Location: Ranch Viejo  Santa Fe

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Emory Pass and discovered that Laura Warnest had battered a Household member causing minor injury.  She was arrested and booked for Battery against a Household Member.

Arrested 2: Josephine Roybal age: 46

Charges: Parties to a Crime, Resisting, Evading, or Obstructing an Officer, Open Container.

On 01-17-2010 at 12:16am a welfare check was conducted on a white Cadillac Escalade while it was parked on the side of the road. It was found that Mr. Martinez was under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Mr. Martinez submitted to testing with results of .13/.13 BrAC. Mr. Martinez was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage container. Mr. Martinez was placed under arrest and booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Josephine Roybal was a passenger in the vehicle. She was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage container. She was also failing to comply with verbal commands.

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Cocaine, Driving on a Suspended Revoked License, and Speeding

On 01-16-2010 at approximately at 9:19pm, the above individual was pulled over for speeding. During the traffic stop it was learned that his driver's license was revoked. During a search of the vehicle a white powdery substance was located and found to be cocaine. The above individual was placed under arrest and booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center Accordingly.

On 01-17-2010 at approximately 1701-hours the above person was involved in a physical altercation with a household member. During the incident the above individual left the residence. The above individual returned to the residence in a black Honda Civic. The individual was also found to be driving on a revoked license. The individual was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center accordingly.

The above driver was involved in a single vehicle motor vehicle roll over and upon contact with deputies, exhibited several signs of impairment. He admitted to drinking several alcoholic beverages and was placed under arrest.
