Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at the Rancho Carrera Apartments and discovered that Carolyn Romero had battered a household member and was subsequently arrested.  Victim received minor injury.

On 8/14/08 deputies arrived earlier in the afternoon in reference to a burglary at above address in which suspects were attempting to steal 2 ATV's.  Caller observed suspects and stopped them from taking ATV's.  At about 2322 hours, caller observed suspect arrive in above vehicles and were walking in the area in which suspects then left.  Deputies located suspects on CR62 & CR70.  Suspects were detained and interviewed by detectives.  Suspects admitted to breaking into house under construction and taking tools from within and attempted to take ATV's.  Suspects were arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  Male juvenile was released to parent and referred to JPPO.  Suspect Henry Avalos Ledezma was also booked on a warrant out of Santa Fe Municipal Court for failure to comply with the court.

On 8/14/08, suspect was observed driving below the listed speed limit on Airport Road.  A check through DMV records revealed that the license plate did not belong to the vehicle it was on.  Contact was made with the suspect in which he displayed signs of impairment.  Suspect admitted to drinking 1 beer and was found to have open containers of beer inside the vehicle.  Suspect was given SFST's and displayed signs of impairment.  Suspect was arrested and requested to submit to a breath test in which his results to his BrAC were .19, .18.  Suspect had no driver's license or insurance.  Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Damaged: Walls, Fences and Toilet

The victim reported that somone had entered her residence and damaged walls, a fence and cracked a toilet. The toilet water leaked for some time and flooded the carpet inside the residence. Nothing appears to have been stolen at this time. The damage was estimated at $3,500.00.

The victim reported that a group of three males were observed attempting to steal three ATVs from the property. A group of construction personnel confronted the males and reclaimed the ATVs and placed them back on the property. The suspect males fled from the scene.

Victim reported that sometime between 6:00 am and 10:00 am on 08-14-08 her vehicle was stolen from the front yard of her property.  Vehicle is a silver 2001 Dodge Durango valued at $1,700.  No suspect or witness information at this time.
