Victim advised he and his brother got into a verbal argument at which time the above listed suspect became angy and armed himself with 2 kitchen knives and threaten to harm the victim with the knives. The suspect was apprehended and placed under arrest. A check of the suspect through NCIC showed the suspect had an outstanding felony warrrant from the State of Iowa. The suspect was arrest without incident and booked accordingly.

Stolen: Copper power cord, two subaru aluminum wheels, one evaporative cooler motor, two vehicle alternators.
Victim reported that the above items were stolen from his yard sometime between Friday, January 17, 2014 at 3:30pm and Friday, January 17, 2014 at 4:00pm. The above stolen items were valued at about $520.00

On this date Deputies conducted a traffic stop when it was discovered the driver was operating a motor vehicle on a suspended/ revoked drivers license. The above suspect was also found to have heroin in her possession, she arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County

Sometime between January 14th and January 17th someone pryed a padlock off the victim's storage shed. Nothing was reported stolen.

Arrested: Nick Vargas, 23-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 01-17-14 Mr. Vargas, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest was observed at the Allsups. He ran from Deputies after being ordered to stop. He was caught after a short foot pursuit and a short struggle ensued to get handcuffs on him. While booking him into the jail suboxone was located in his wallet.

Location: State Road 592 near the intersection of Santa Fe County Road 76 (Tesuque/Chupadero area)
Deceased:43-year-old female from Santa Fe N.M.
On 01-16-14 at about 11:30AM the Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a report of a vehicle parked near the above location with an unconcious female in the driver seat. Upon arrival a female was located in the vehicle with a gun shot wound to the head. Medics arrived and confirmed she was deceased. The investigation revealed the female was suicidal and left a suicide note for a friend. She suffered a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head.

Suspended or Revoked
On Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 7:21 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location and made a left turn at the location while the traffic control signal was still red. The suspect was found to be under the influence of a controled substance and submitted to a Blood Test. Results of the Blood test are pending. The suspect was found to be in possession of a green in color, leafy, plant type material suspected of being marijuana and a glass type smoking devce which contained suspected burnt marijuana residue. A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the Arrest Clause attached unless operating a vehicle equipped with an Ignition Interlock System. The vehicle was not equipped with an Ignition Interlock System. The vehicle was seizzed pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5.

Victim reports sometime on January 15, 2014 between the hours of 8:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. at the above location unknown person keyed a White in color Audi A5. Damage was to the driverside door and fender causing approximately $2,000.00 in damage. Case still pending further investigation.

Victim reports sometime between January 6, 2014 and January 16, 2014 unknown person(s) gained entry into the well pump house at the above location. Entry was made by prying off the pad lock latch and took the above items. Total estimated value of damage $ 15.00. Case still pending further investigation.
