Case#2023001109/Driving while license revoked, Assault on a peace officer, Resisting and Evading/2-21-23

Location: US 84/285 MM 178, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Joseph Jacobs, 45 YOM, Santa Fe, NM

On the above date, Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to Motor Vehicle Accident. Upon arrival a BIA Officer advised he attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Ford F-150 bearing . The officer advised the vehicle began swerving recklessly and came to slowing speeds. The officer also advised Joseph Jacobs jumped out of the moving vehicle and fled on foot. Suspect was apprehended, arrested, transported and booked. 

Case#2023001087/Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle/2-21-2023

Location: 2400 Block of Alamo Lane, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: 2008 White Ford Ranger

On the above date, deputies responded to the above location in reference to a stolen motor vehicle. Deputies were told by the victim, he was warming up his truck and left it unattended before it was taken. Deputies attempted to locate the truck without success. 

Case#2023001101/Larceny and Criminal Damage to Property/2-21-23

Location: 300 Block of Dinosaur Trail, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: 3 Catalytic Converter, a tire and rim. (Total Value: $8,100)

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a larceny of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival it was learned unknown suspect entered through the parking area over an east side wall. The suspect unlawfully took the above items causing damage to three vehicles.

Arrested: Oscar Sanchez, 26 YOM

On Friday, February 17, 2023, deputies responded to the above location due to the above male having 1 active bench warrants. He was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Case#2023001071/Resisting/2-20-23

Deputy Assigned: M. Segura

Location: Rabbit Road and Willow Back Road, Santa Fe County, NM

Arrested: Joshua Roybal, 29YOM, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to a stalled vehicle. The reporting person stated he was flagged down by a person, whos vehicle was stuck on an embankment. The reporting person also advised that he felt the suspect (person) smelled of alcohol and was acting unusual. Deputies arrived on scene and learned the suspect ended up on the embankment earlier in the day. Deputies smelled an order of alcohol emitting from his expelled breath. When deputies were conducting their DWI investigation, the suspect began to become boisterous and clinch his fists. For deputies safety, deputies advised the suspect he was going to be detained. While placing handcuffs on the suspect he pulled away and attempted to flee. Deputies were able to gain control of the suspect. Suspect was placed under arrest for the above crime, transported and booked into jail.

Location: 2000 Block of Caja Del Oro Grant Rd., Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: $850 Cash

On the above date, it was learned by the Victim an unknown person gained unauthorized entry into her mailbox. The victim stated several checks were stolen and cashed at an unknown location for $850.00.

2023001079/DWI/DWI With Minor in vehicle/Roadways laned for traffic

Deputy Assigned: E. Madrid

Location: US 84-285/ W. Gutierrez , Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Gloria Fernandez 38 y/om, Santa Fe, NM 

Traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for not being able to drive within its lane of travel. Driver showed signs of impairment and was driving with a minor inside the vehicle. Driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center.

Arrested: Henry Martinez, 59YOM, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the above location. During the course of the traffic stop it was learned the subject had a warrant for his arrest. Subject was arrested, transported, and booked into jail without incident. Original Charge for Warrant: Criminal damage to property of a household member.
