On 9-20-20 a 93-year-old female passed away in her home from natural causes. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing and there was nothing suspicious about the incident.

On 9-19-20 a family member found the deceased in his home. He suffered from several medical conditions and his passing was expected to come soon.

Location: Agua Fria Street and Ledd Drive
Arrested: John Hackler, 21-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 9-19-20 at approximately 8:49pm the above suspect almost struck a deputy head on while he was traveling east on Agua Fria. A traffic stop was attempted and the vehicle fled west on Agua Fria driving erratically. A vehicle pursuit ensued for approximately 7 minutes through the Agua Fria, Jemez Road and Rufina Street areas. The suspect eventually ended up heading east on Airport Road. As they were nearing Cerrillos Road deputies positioned themselves in front of the suspect forcing him to a stop. He was taken into custody without further incident. Further investigation revealed he was driving under the influence and was in possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine. He also had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

On September 19, 2020, Deputy Puentes made contact with the above individual, it was found he had two active arrest warrant out of the Santa Fe and Rio Arriba County Magistrate Courts. The subject was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On September 18, 2020, Deputy L. Guzman was patrolling the area of Airport Road, when contact was made with the above suspect and was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the City of Santa Fe Municipal Court. The subject was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
Original Charges: Careless Driving, No Proof of Insurance, Display of Current Registration.

On Saturday, September 19, 2020, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white 2014 Chevy Cruze on McCurdy Rd and El Llano Rd. The vehicle was stopped for failing to maintain its lane of travel. Contact was made with the driver who displayed signs of impairment. Driver admitted to consuming Yukon Jack. SFST's were conducted and the driver performed poorly on the SFST's. The driver agreed to provide a chemical test resulting in a .23/.24. The driver was placed under arrest, transported and booked into ADC.

On Friday, September 18th, 2020, deputies responded to the above location in reference to an inmate with an active bench warrant out of the Santa Fe Magistrate Court. The above subject was served on the warrant and rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Upon making contact with the above individual, it was found he had and active arrest warrant out of the Santa Fe Magistrate Court. The subject was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Friday, September 18th, 2020, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a burglary. Contact was made with the victim who advised unknown suspect(s) gained forced entry into a trailer and stole the above mentioned items. This occurred between 7:00 pm on 09-17-2020 and 8:00 am on 09-18-2020. Suspect information is pending and this case remains under investigation.

Arrested: Anika Sandoval, 29-year-old female from Cordova N.M.
On 9-16-20 at approximately 8:39pm the defendant was stopped for speeding, 90mph in a 65mph zone. She showed signs of impairment and a DWI investigation was conducted. Upon completion of the investigation she was arrested for DWI and submitted to a breath test, results of which were positive for alcohol. She was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.
