Case #0214018168, DWI

Suspect: Larry Carrillo, 64, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle: 2005 Gray Ford Thunderbird

Charges: DWI, Careless Driving, Open Container, Negligent use of firearm

On Monday, November 17, 2014 at 6:19 PM Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident at location. Vehicle left the roadway and collided with a property fence at intersection. SFSTs were conducted, suspect showed signs of impairment and placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect provided a breath test. A nearly empty 12 ounce bottle of Dos Equis beer was located in the vehicle along with a 1911 handgun. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Case #0214018170 Missing Person 11-17-14

Deputy Assigned: Nicole Romero

Missing: Carlos Quintana 61 yoa male 2700 Block of Boylan lane (Santa Fe NM )

Caretaker of missing stated Mr. Quintana had left the residence at about 10:00 am. Caretaker advised Mr. Quintana was upset because he wanted to return to his hometown of Las Vegas NM.  At this time missing has not been located and has a history of seizures, dementia, and a silver alert was issued.

Case #0214018171 Burglary 11-17-14

Location: 100 block of Camino Del Rincon (Pojoaque)

Items taken: 30" television, Electric Space Heater

Victim advised between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:15 pm an unknown person forced entry into their residence and stole the above listed items. Case is under investigation.

Case # 0214018161 Attempted fraud 11-17-14

Victim reported a check was stolen from the mail. After that time an unknown person attempted to cash the check for an amount of $3000.00. Case is under investigation.

0214018096 / Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle / 11-16-14

Stolen: Motorcycle

   On Sunday November 16, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Hill Trail in reference to a reported stolen motor vehicle.  Contact was made with the victim who stated sometime between November 15-16  2014 suspect(s) unlawfuly took the victims motorcycle from his home. The vehicle was entered into NCIC. This case remains under investigation.

Case #0214017932 - Criminal Damage To Property - 11/12/14

Location: Bogen Road - Edgewood, NM

The victim reported that he was away from his home for several weeks and upon his return, found the interior of his home severely damaged. The victim suspected someone he allowed to stay there while he was away. The damage was estimated at $5000.00. The investigation is ongoing.

0214017873 / Burglary, larceny, Unlawful Use of a credit card / 11-11-14

Location: 7400 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87505 ( Santa Fe Trail, Old Las Vegas area)

Stolen: Electronics, power tools, credit cards

  On November 11, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of 7400 Old Santa Fe Trail in reference to a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim who advised that between 5:00pm and 6:30pm on November 10, 2014 suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into the victims home, once entry was gained suspect(s) took various electronics and power tools from within the home. Suspect(s) then used one of the stolen credit cards at a local store. This case remains under investigation.

Case # 0214017896, DWI (Felony)

Location: I-25 East Frontage Road (Mile Post 269)

Vehicle: 1997 White Chevy S-10 (Pickup)

Suspect: Joshua Chavez, 30, Rio Rancho, NM

Charged: DWI (Felony), Careless driving, Driving while license revoked, Negligent use of a deadly weapon, Possession of drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana

On Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 6:47 PM the suspect was opperating the vehicle southbound at the location, when for reason(s) unknown he lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the right side and rolling over multiple times. Suspect was found to be under the influeance of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a breathalyzer test. Based upon the suspects number of prior DWI offenses a search warrant was obtained and a blood test was administered. Results of this test are pending. The suspect's New Mexico driver's license is revoked with the arrest clause attached unless he is opperating a vehicle with an ignition interlock device. The vehicle was not so equiped. The suspect was found to be in possession of a .45 caliber semi automatic pistol, suspected Marijuana, and a smoking device containing suspected Marijuana residue. The suspect was uninjured as a result of this collision. The vehicle was not seized due to extensive rollover damage.

Location: 700 block of Coyote Ridge Road (Santa Fe, W. Alameda Area)

Victim reported between 2:30 p.m. and 5:09 p.m. an unknown person(s) entered the residence by force and stole televisions, camera equipment, and jewlery. Investigation is on-going.
