Location: Rancho Viejo / A Van Nu Po, Santa Fe, NM (Santa Fe area)

  On September 14, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of A Van Nu Po and Rancho Viejo in reference to a reported breaking and entering. Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim. Victim reported that a suspect entered the RV storage location and broke into the victims RV. Victim reported that nothing was taken from within the RV. This case remains under investigation.

Location: Sombra De Luna, Espanola, NM (La Puebla Area)

Deputies conducted a welfare check at the above location and found a 78 year old male deceased inside.  Entry was gained into the residence and found no foul play. OMI was contacted and took over the investigation.  Case still pending further investigation.

Location: West Gutierrez/ US 84/285 Santa Fe County

Arrested: Daniel Bishop, 43yoa, Santa Fe-New Mexico

On the above date around the time of 10:15pm, Santa Fe County Deputy Robert Garcia was contacted by a citizen who stated the above arrestee was driving eratic. Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputy Robert Garcia observed his driving to be eratic and then observed the vehicle strike another vehicle. The arrestee displayed signs of impairment and was booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

SFCSO Case # 0214014763- Runaway/Missing- 09-13-2014

Deputy Assigned: Dep. Chris Zook

Location: 100 block of Buffalo Street Santa Fe, New Mexico 87506

Missing: Marelessia Palomino,14yoa, 5'4", 120lbs, brown hair, brown eyes and wearing blue jeans, pink sweater (Aero brand) and black shoes.

The above stated juvenile was reported as a runaway to this agency on Saturday September 13, 2014. The above listed juvenile left her residence on this date at 9:24pm without notifying an adult. The juvenile was entered itno NCIC as a runaway/juvenile. This case is currently being investigated by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.  

SFCSO Case# 02-14-014719/ Death Investigation/ 09-12-2014

Deputy Assigned: Dep. Jose D. Lujan

Location: 100 block/ Tano Road Santa Fe, NM

Deceased: 84 year old male, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to an unresponsive and not brething male. SFC Fire/Med units were on scene and attempts were made to resucitate the male individual but were unsuccessful. The victim has a long history of medical issues and there were no signs of foul play at the scene. OMI arrived on scene and took custody of the deceased. This case is considered closed.  

Case# 0214014721 Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member

Location:  1200 Block, Bishops Lodge Road, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle:  White, 2012, Ford, F-350, Pick-up

Victim:  Female, 34, Alamogordo, NM

Suspect:  Alfonso S. Herrera, Jr., 36, Almogordo, NM

Charged:  Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member

On Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 12:56 AM the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at a bussiness at the location.  The altercation turned physical when the suspect struck the victim in the head and facial area with a wooden luggage stand.  The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries and declined further medical attention.  The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle and was located by deputies as they responded to the scene.

Location: 2000 block of Lopez Lane, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Margaret Rael 37 yoa female, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Battery against a household member

Victim reports he was involved a verbal altercation with the above suspect.  The altercation then turned physical when he was slapped in the face and pushed. Suspect admitted to slapping the victim.  Above suspect was arrested and booked accordingly on the above charge without further incident.

Case #0213014635 Unattended Death 09-11-14

Deputy Assigned: Carolina Aguayo-Hernandez

Commander Entering: Cpl. Edward Webb Jr.

Location: 100 block of Arroyo Calabasas Road (La Tierra Area, Santa Fe)

Deceased: 66 yoa male

Deputies responded to an unconcious, not breathing male. Investigation revealed a 66 year old male passed away. Deputies on scene did not note any signs of foul play, and noted the male had long medical history.

Case # 0214014576 Larceny 09-10-14

Location: 6401 Richards Ave. (Santa Fe Community College)

Arrested: Nicholas Bustos 27 yoa male (Santa Fe)

Stolen and Recovered: Power Grip tools value $500.00

On above date SFCC contacted the Sheriff's Office after the suspect was seen on video footage stealing an item from the art gallery area. suspect admitted to deputy he stole the above item and he was arrested. Suspect was also found to be in possession of a syringe and burnt spoon consistent with heroin use. Suspect was booked into Santa Fe ADC.

 

Case #0214014579 Burglary 09-10-14

Deputy Assigned: John Ordonez

Location: Paseo C'de Baca (La Cienega Area)

Items Taken: Misc Jewlery, 2 televisions, 3 pairs of sunglasses, $737.00, 3 pair of sunglasses.

Victim reported between 0740 hours and 1410 hours entry was forced into his residence. Once inside the suspect(s) took the above listed items from the residence. Investigation is underway.
