Arrested: Phillip Herrera     Age: 41      Santa Fe,NM

Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash at the listed location. Upon arriving they observed a vehicle that had crashed into a fence. Deputies during the investigation identified the driver who displayed signs of impairment. The driver refused to submit to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and also refused to submit to chemical testing. Driver was cited for the crash and arrested for DWI. Driver was transported to jail and booked accordingly. Vehicle was not seized due to the heavy front end damage.

  On May 14, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to the Santa Fe County Detention Center in reference to a reported narcotics violation. Upon Deputies arrival contact was made with the Jail staff who advised they located a suspect narcotic that an unknown suspect was attempting to smuggle into the jail. The suspected narctotic was taken as evidence. This case remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 8:54 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location when she lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the right side and stike a cable barrier system.  The suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle and was located a short distance later.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Breathalyzer Test.  The suspect was found to in possession of several open bottles of Bud Light Beer.

Arrested: John Baca 53 years old, Santa Fe, NM, 87506

 On May 13, 2014 at approximately 4:30 pm Santa Fe County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Santa Fe County Road 84G in reference to a reported attempted burglary. Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies arrivied to the area to find that a witness had detained the above mentioned suspect. An investigation showed that the suspect damaged a window to a home in an attempt to gained entry into the home with intent to commit burglary. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Stolen: Various jewelry

  Victim reported that sometime between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm on May 13, 2014 unknown suspects gained unlawful entry into the victims home. Once entry was gained suspect(s) rummaged through the home and eventually took various jewelry from within the home. This case remains under investigation.
