SFCSO Case #0213007004/ Larceny and Fraudulent use of a credit card/ 05-17-2013

Deputy assigned: Julie York

Location: 6000 block of Airport Road Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: Wallet, Bof A Credit Card, New Mexico drivers license, Social Security Card, and Sears discount card

Victim reported on today's date he was at the above location and he left his wallet at the above location. The victim checked his credit card and it was detrmined that his credit card was used on two seperate occasions at two seperate gas stations within Santa Fe. This case is currently under investigation.

The above listed item was valued at about $ Unknown at this time

Case#: 0213006993/ Assault with the Intent to Commit a Felony/ Date: 5/17/13

Deputy assigned:  Deputy Chris Zook

Commander entering:  Lt. Linda Ortiz

Location:  residence off of Paseo Nopal, Santa Fe, NM

On 5/17/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to an attempted robbery.  Victim stated that an unknown male ran towards him with a rock in his hand.  Victim stated that suspect covered his face with his shirt and demanded his wallet.  Victim stated that the suspect threatened to hit him over the head with a rock.  Suspect fled the area when victim called for his dog.

Case#: 0213007005/ Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 5/17/13

Location:  residence off of Canada Del Rancho, Santa Fe, NM (Rancho Viejo Subdivision)

On 5/17/13 deputy responded to above location in reference to a criminal damage to property.  Victim stated between May 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. and May 17, 2013 at 6:00 a.m. his vehicle was keyed by an unknown suspect.  Estimated damage amount is $1,200.00.

Case#: 0213007001/ Battery against a household member/ Date: 5/17/13

Location:  3991 Camino Juliana #524, Santa Fe, NM (San Tierra Apts.)

Suspect:  Avigael Chavez, age 29, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery against a household member

On 5/17/13 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a domestic dispute.  Victim stated that suspect slapped her in the face.  Two other witnesses and victim's son observed suspect slap the victim.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Case #0213006911 - Burglary - 5/16/13

Location: SFC Road 84 - El Rancho Area

Sometime between 4/13/13 and 5/16/13, someone forced entry into the victim's residence and stole several power tools. No suspects or witnesses were known at the time of report.

Case #0213006923 - Burglary - 5/16/13

Location - A Van Nu Po - Rancho Viejo Area

Sometime between 4/24/13 and 5/16/13, someone gained access into the RV storage area and stole several batteries from a camper. No suspects or witnesses were known at the time or report.

Case #0213006918 - Custodial Interference - 5/16/13

Location: State Road 503 - Nambe

Deputies received a report from a male regarding his girlfriend gathering her belongings and their child and secretly leaving without his knowledge. Information from family members was that the female said she was leaving and never coming back. Investigation is still ongoing.

Victim reported to Deputy that today between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:40 pm unknown persons gained entry into the home and stole the listed items. VIctim stated there was no damage to the home. Case is under Investigation.

Victim reported to deputy that on todays date between the hours of 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, unknown persons entered the home and stole the listed items. Case is under investigation.

0213006768 Burglary(Commercial) 5/14/13

Deputy assigned: Ronaldo Ulibarri

Location: 2500 block of South Meadows (LowerAgua Friaarea)

Stolen: Misc construction hand tools/ equipment and building supplies

Stolen /Recovered: Yellow in color, 2007 Case 4x4 Backhoe

On 5/14/2013, Deputies responded to a Commercial Burglary at the above location. Reporting party advised that an unknown person(s) forced entry into the job site overnight and stole a large amount of hand tools and building supplies. The reporting party also advised that a, yellow in color, 2007 Case 4x4 backhoe was also taken. The backhoe which was secured with a stabilizer lock on the right stabilizer was driven out of the job site, leaving scrape marks. The backhoe was located onAgua Fria, just east ofSanteros Roadand returned to the contractor. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

The items stolen to include the backhoe were valued at about $90000.00
