Deputy Valencia was called upon to investigate a narcotics voilation at the 1500 block of State Road 502. I white in color pill identified as Oxycodone was located. Suspect admitted to having the narcotic and will be subsequently charged.

Complaintant stated that telephone communications was interrupted. As crew members arrived to the location they noticed that several feet of wiring was stolen. This case remains under investigation.

The above listed subject was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for failure to comply with Electronic Monitoring. Subject was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Case #0213004121 - Burglary - 3/24/13

Location: Deer Mountain Road - Edgewood

Victim reports someone burglarized his residence between 3:00pm and 3:30pm on March 22, 2013 and stole several items, including rims, hunting knives, and a CB radio. A male subject was seen at the residence during the same time frame, posing as an inspector for a finance company. No other suspects were known at the time of report.

Suspect: Carrie Barber  Age: 48  Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Los Pinos Rd and learned that Carrie Barber had threatened a household member with a large kitchen knife during an argument. Barber was arrested and booked accordingly.

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphenalia, and Roadway Laned for Traffic

On 03-23-13 at approximately 7:49pm, a traffic stop was conducted on a 1988 blue Toyota truck bearing NM JAB826. The vehicle was stopped for failing to maintain it's lane of travel. During the course of the stop, the driver was found to be in possession of  marijuana and rolling papers. The driver was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving

On Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 4:17 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the location and failed to negotiate a left curve.  As a result the vehicle left the roadway on the right side and struck a guardrail.  The vehicle sustained heavy damage to its right front.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .16 or greater.  The suspect was uninjured as a result of the collision.

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Negligent Use of a Deadly weapon, Open Container

On Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:08 AM the suspect was found passed out in the vehicle, with the engine on in the parking lot at the location.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .16 or greater.  There was an open can of Bud Light Beer in the cup holder.  The suspect was also found to be in possession of a Ruger, .40 caliber, semi-automatic handgun.
