While conducting a search of inmate Mathew Gomez, Santa Fe County Detention Center Officers found him in possession Narcotics inside the jail. Case is being investigated bu the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 6:29 AM deputies responded to a residence at the location in reference to an unresponsive male. Upon arrival of Emergency Medical Services Personnel the victim was not displaying any signs of life and no efforts t6o revive the victim were initiated. The victim was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. Foul Play is not suspected in this investigation.

Deputies responded to a reckless driver with a vehicle description of a Teal Cadillac CTS. A 2004 Cadillac CTS was found at the above location and stopped. Driver appeared to be impaired. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were adminstered and showed clues of impairment. Driver was placed under arrest where a blood draw was conducted. Blood results pending.

On 3/27/12 victim stated that when she went out to her vehicle at 1630 hours, she noticed that her tires and rims to her vehicle were stolen. Victim stated that this occurred at her place of employment. Victim stated that the estimated value of the tires and rims are $1000.00. A witness could not get a license plate on the suspect vehicle. Only 3 rims and tires were taken.

Suspect #3: Sarah Benavidez, age 37, Santa Fe, NM
Charged: Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property
On 3/27/12 deputies were dispatched to a residence off of Riverside Drive in reference to an attempted burglary. It was learned that the suspects were attempting to pry open the window after removing the screen from the residence. Victim observed the suspects and scared them off. Deputies were then dispatched to a residence off of Brazos River Road in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that suspects gained entry through the front door and damaging the dead bolt. Victim stated that suspects took an HP laptop computer, and Xbox 360 connect, 12 Xbox games, a social security card and a resident card. Suspects then fled the area and were located at the Cedar Creek Apartments. It was learned that suspect #2 had a folding utility multi-purpose tool in his possession. Suspect #2 also gave a name of Albert Martinez but we then learned his real identity. While in custody, suspect #2 attempted to escape out of the deputies unit. Suspect #2 also had 4 active warrants for his arrest. Suspects were then arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 12:19 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle east at the location attempting to negotiate a right curve. The suspect lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the left side, striking a rock formation and rolling over one time coming to rest back on the roadway. The suspect was transported to Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test. A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the Arrest Clause attached.

Victim stated on March 24, 2012 he noticed that his Bank Of America card was missing so he contacted his Bank and was advised that one transaction was made on his card at the Rhoc gas station in Espanola,
