Case#: 0209011123/ Battery on a household member, Possession of a controlled substance to wit: Marijuana/ Date: 12/28/09

Suspect:  Shawn Lopez, age 19, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery on a household member, Possession of a controlled substance to wit:  Marijuana

On 12/28/09 victim stated taht he got into an argument with is son over his son's behavior.  Suspect began yelling at his mother.  and victim told suspect not to talk to his mother like that.  Suspect then turned victim and grabbed him by his shirt and a pushing match ensued.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  At ADC guards located a small amount of a green leafy substance on suspect.

Location: Paseo De River/NM 599 frontage - Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Carla Martinez - 23

The above driver was involved in a motor vehicle crash at the above location. She was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. She exhibited signs of impairment and was cited/charged for DWI.

Suspect: Shawn Lopez  Age: 19  Santa Fe

Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute.  Upon arrival deputies learned that Shawn Lopez had battered a household member. He was arrested for Battery against a household member and a small amount of marijuana was found on Lopez during the booking process.  He was charged accordingly.

Marcial Romero was arrested for an outstanding Bench Warrant and booked into the Santa Fe Detention Center without incident.

Location: SR 503 - Jacona Car Wash

On 12/16/09, a burglary was reported at the above location. Suspect(s) forced open the front door and stole about $10.00 in quarters from an unsecured change machine. The suspect(s) are unknown at this time and no witnesses have come forward.

Suspect:  Lisa Lynn Velasquez, age 40, Clovis, NM

Charged:  Fugitive from Justice, Bench warrant out of State of Texas for Credit Card Abuse

On 12/23/09 warrant for suspect was received from Texas and was to be served on suspect due to being incarcerated at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  Suspect was served with warrant out of Deaf Smith County, State of Texas for Credit Card Abuse.  Suspect was also charged with being a Fugitive from Justice.  Suspect was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center on new charges.

On 12/23/09 victim wanted to report that unknown suspects had purchased items at Family Dollary for the amount of $215.61 with one of his checks.  Victim stated that he never wrote out the check or had gone to Family Dollar.  Victim stated that suspects had forged his name when they wrote out the check.  Victim stated his wife had ordered checks but never received them.  No suspect information at this time.  Amount was taken out of victim's checking account.

Location:  5999 Airport Road #39, Santa Fe, NM (Country Club Apts.)

Suspect:  Phillip Cardenas, age 48, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery on a household member

On 12/23/09 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a fight in progress and people yelling.  Deputies were informed of a domestic disturbance.  Victim stated that she and suspect were arguing verbally and then suspect pushed her back on a chair and grabbed her face.  Suspect denied any physical contact.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

 

Case#: 0209011061/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 12/24/09

Location:  2900 block of Aspen Loop, Santa Fe, NM (Cottonwood Mobile Home Park)

On above date victim reported taht he left his residence at 1700 hours and returned at 1800 hours to retrieve a gift.  Victim stated that he left 5 minutes later and returned home again at 2100 and noticed some items missing from within his residence.  Victim stated that he noticed his 40" flatscreen TV, a 32" flatscreen TV, 2 Bulovi watches, misc. jewelry, 4 pairs of Jordan shoes, and 4 of his uniform shirts missing.  Entry was gained through the back door.  Estimated value of items taken is $5566.99.  Estimated damage amount is pending.

 

0209011078 Stolen Vehicle 12/26/09

Location: Vuelta Ventura (SAF Area)  Suspects information upon further investigation

Stolen Vehicle: 1988 Chevrolet pickup

Victim reported that between 3:00am and 8:00am suspects took aforementioned vehicle. Vehicle was entered into N.C.I.C. The vehicle was later recovered by the Texas State Police in Amarillo, TX.
