Case# 0209007687 Aggravated DWI

On 8-29-2009 at 2:40 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle east at the location and was unable to maintain a single lane of travel.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .16 or greater.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed no driver's license on file for the suspect.

On 8-29-2009, at 10:30 PM, the suspect was operating the vehicle at the location when he entered a DWI Check Point.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .08 or greater.

On 8-29-2009 at 10:31 PM the suspected was operating the vehicle at the location when he entered a DWI Check Point.  The suspect was found to be impaired.  After submitting to the Breathalyzer Test, the suspect was transported to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center for a Blood Alcohol Test after the the results of the Breathalyzer Test were not consistent with the level of impairment displayed by the suspect during the Standardized Field Sobriety Test.  The results of the Blood Alcohol Test are pending.

Charged: DWI, Driving While license Suspended /Revoked, Arrest by Virtue of Warrant

Deputies were conducting a DWI Checkpoint on Old Las Vegas highway near Mile Post 0 when contact was made with the above listed Driver, who Displayed signs of impairment. Driver was administered the field sobriety test and displayed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. Driver submitted to a Breath test the results were .09,.09 Driver also had a outstanding warrant out of Sandoval County Magristate Court for Failuer to Appear.

On 8/29/09 at approx 0321hrs/am, Deputies responded to a Domestic Dispute in which the suspect and his 23 yr old girlfriend, were arguing over their 1 yr old child, who was crying. Suspect got mad and punched her several times in the face causing a 2inch laceration to her forehead. Suspect was holding his 2yr old son, and left on foot with the child. Suspect went to a neighbors house, where the child was taken by the neighbor, and tried to have the suspect turn himself in, but he fled on foot again, and could not be located. Investigation continues.

CASE 0209007685 / RESISTING OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER, RECKLESS DRIVING, BUYING SELLING GIVING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR (POSSESSION) / 08

LOCATION:  HIGHWAY 599 @ I-25, SANTA FE AREA

ARRESTED:  ROLANDO BARRANDEY, 18 YOA MALE, SANTA FE AREA

CHARGES:  RESISTING AN OFFICER, RECKLESS DRIVING AND BUYING SELLING GIVING ALCOHOL TO A MINOR (POSSESSION)

ON THIS DATE SUSPECT WAS OBSERVED NORTH BOUND ON HIGHWAY 599 AT I-25 AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED (85 MPH IN 45 MPH).  SUSPECT THEN TOOK OFF AND REFUSED TO STOP FOR OFFICER.  SUSPECT FINALLY STOPPED VEHICLE IN CENTER MEDIAN OF ROADWAY, WHERE HE WAS ARRESTED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES.  SUSPECT WAS TAKEN TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER AND BOOKED.  VEHICLE WAS IMPOUNDED.

Stolen: 2 Flatscreen TV, and a pair of gold hoop earrings

Value: $1,500.00

Victim stated that she left the residence at about 9:00am and arrived back at the residence at about 4:45pm. Upon arriving home she found the front door partially opened. Victim entered the residence and found the above items missing. No signs of force entry was found.

Deputies responded to St. Vincent's Hospital regarding a male suffering from three puncture wounds to the upper torso. He reported being stabbed by his friend while in Madrid. The wounds were considered non life-threatening at the time of report. The suspect had not yet been located at the time of report.

CHARGES:  PENDING

ON THIS DATE SUSPECT WAS INTOXICATED AND WENT OVER TO ABOVE LISTED LOCATION WHERE HIS EX-GIRLFREIND LIVES.  SUSPECT BROKE THE WINDOW NEXT TO THE FRONT DOOR SO HE COULD ENTER THE HOUSE.  SUSPECT THEN BATTERED VICTIM PUSHING HER TO THE FLOOR AND THEN HE HELD HER DOWN AND BITE HER CHECK AND SHOULDER.  SUSPECT THEN LEFT THE HOUSE AND THE VEHICLE WAS LOCATED OFF OF AIRPORT ROAD.  SUSPECT WAS NOT LOCATED AT THIS TIME.  CASE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION AT THIS TIME.
