On the early morning hours of 9-22-22, Deputy Cody Latting conducted a traffic stop, which yielded a second arrest on a Bernardita Margarita Chavez. Chavez had a warrant for failure to pay fines on the above-mentioned charges. Chavez was arrested on this warrant without incident. DOCKET # M-43-TR-2021-00186.

On the early morning hours of 9-22-22, Deputy Cody Lattin conducted a traffic stop, which yielded an arrest for James A. Gurule. Gurule was taken into custody without incident on the warrant bearing M-49-vf-2021-00069. Gurule was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

CHARGES: FAILURE TO APPEAR ON ORIGINAL CHARGE OF DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE
On 9-21-22 at about 7 p.m., Deputy Madrid conducted a traffic stop on the above driver, who was found to have an active arrest warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Dakan was taken into custody without incident. Warrant # M-45-TR-2022100157. Dakan's vehicle was towed from the scene.

SUSPECT: ESTEVAN GARCIA- 41-YEAR-OLD, H/M- SANTA FE COUNTY RESIDENT
On 9-22-22, Deputy Martinez responded to a burglary of a residence off Bishop's Lodge Road. The victim stated she had been battered by her boyfriend of a year, Estevan Garcia, while out on the town. At some point, the two parties separated. Based on evidence at the scene, Garcia returned to their residence and kicked in the door, ransacked the residence, before leaving with only his property.
A warrant for Garcia's arrest was granted and entered into NCIC for the charges of Battery against a household member, Burglary, Criminal Damage.

CRIME: BREAKING AND ENTERING AND CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On 9-21-22 in the evening hours, Deputy Cody Lattin responded to a residence in the 100 block of Little Bird Road, which was found by a neighbor to have a broken window. During the investigation, Deputy Cody Lattin found a window in the residence to have been broken by an unknown suspect(s). The unknown suspect(s) ransacked the residence and then fled in an unknown direction. This case is under investigation

Subject was stopped for not having a license plate on his vehicle. Subject was found to be operating the vehicle while his license is revoked. Search incident to his arrest, he was found to be in possession of heroin and suboxone. He was arrested and booked without incident.

Subject was stopped for a red light violation. He was found to be operating his vehicle while his license was revoked due to a prior DWI conviction. He was arrested and booked without incident.

Deceased: 59 yoa male (Stanley)
Deputies were dispatched to an assisting ambulance call. Upon arrival, deputies located a male who had various medical conditions who had passed away. Investigation showed the male had passed away from natural causes. OMI came to the scene, and took custody of the deceased male.

Suspect: Ernesto Sena 42 yoa male (Espanola)
Deputies were dispatched to a reckless driver in the Arroyo Seco area. Upon arrival, it was learned Mr. Sena had become involved in a road rage incident with his wife and her friends. He forced them to pull over. Mr. Sena then approached the vehicle and battered all three occupants. He then fled the scene. A warrant was issued for his arrest by the Honorable Judge John Rysanek. Case is under investigation.
