Suspect: 32 year old male

taken: PS4, games, leap frog pad  40 inch flat screen TV

Above victim stated that between the hours of 7:45am and 5:00pm an unknown person(s) kicked open the front door and stole above items. Victim believes it is the suspect her ex-husband. Case is under investigation.

Person Arrested- Aaron Vigil 24  yo Santa Fe, NM

Above listed person was found to have an active warrant for failing to comply with his conditions of probation. Subject was booked accordingly.

0217002810-Larceny, Fraud- 2-27-17

Location- 100 Block of Backroad

Victim advised that a tax refund check was due to arrive at the residence on February 13, 2017.  It never arrived.  Upon calling the IRS, victim was advised that the check was delivered and had been cashed for a total of $612.  Case is under investigation.

0217002769/ Burglary-Residential/ 02/26/17

Location: Camino San Jose- La Cienega Area

Stolen: Pending

On 02/26/17 the reporting party stated he located two broken windows on the residence. The reporting party stated the tenant is out of town and he was checking on the property. The unknown suspect(s) used bricks to break the windows. Suspect information is pending at this time.

Case-0217002711-Attempted Burglary-02/24/17

Deputy Assigned: J. Lujan

Location: 100 Blk of Val Verde

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a burglary in progress. A male was attempting to enter the residence unlawfully. Victim ran to a nearby residence to call 911. It was found the unknown male was unsuccessful in gaining entry into the residence and left the area.  

0217002703 / Fraud / 2-24-17

Deputy Handling: C. Chastain

Location: La Luna Road

Suspect: Sophie Blake

Amount: $3,000

On the above date, Deputy Chastain was dispatched to La Luna Road in reference to a fraud.  Upon arrival it was learned the victim had been defrauded of $3,000 after attempting to purchase an RV on Ebay.  The case is under investigation.

 

0217002674 / ASSAULT AGAINST A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER, CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OF A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER / 02-24-17

Location: Residence on Santa Fe County Road 84, El Rancho area

Arrested: Alejandro Garcia-Valenzuela, 28-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

On 02-24-17 the defendant assaulted a household member by throwing a lamp at them. The defendant also broke the lamp and damaged a wall in the residence.  He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail on the above charges. 

Case-0217002667-Burglary-Criminal Damage to Property-02/23/17

Victim: 37 year old female

location: 100 Blk of Sierra place

Victim reported between 11:00AM and 7:00PM an unknown person(s) broke the rear east facing bedroom window and entered her residence. Nothing appeared to be missing. Although the residence appeared to have gone through as if someone was looking for something. Victim did advised she had received her income tax refund of $5000 which was hidden in her panty drawer which was not taken. Shoe impressions of a Nike Cortez type shoe was photographed on the rear window where the suspect enters.

On above date, the above suspect was apprehended and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center on three separate warrants for his arrest without incident.

0217002666 / Battery Upon a Household Member / 2-23-17

Location: S. Sierra Place (Valle Vista)

Suspect; Shantell Benavidez

On the above date, Deputy Jaramillo was dispatched to the above listed location in reference to Battery Upon a Household Member.  Upon arrival it was learned the above listed suspect had battered her mother by hitting her in the face and head with a closed fist after a verbal altercation about drugs and alcohol.  Suspect was arrested and booked without incident.
