Between Tuesday December 6, 2016 and Tuesday December 13, 2016, unknown suspects forced entry into the above location and took the above listed items.  Case is under investigation.

Arrested: Jaime Tippet age: 26

Above individual was arrested on a Magistrate Court Warrant charging failure to appear. Subject was already incarcerated on two other Municipal Warrants

0216019239 / Battery against a household member / 12-14-16

Location: Residence on North San Mateo Way (Valle Vista Subdivision)

Arrested: Valerie Fischer, 37-year-old female from Santa Fe N.M.

 

On 12-14-16 at about 10:00pm Ms. Fischer battered a family member during an argument, scratching the family member on the face.  She was arrested on the above charge and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

 

0216019229-Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Arson- 12-14-16

Location- Forest Road 309

Between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm, unknown suspects took a 2005 Gray in color Mazda 3 from the Santa Cruz lake parking lot then drove the vehicle to the above listed location where the vehicle was then set on fire.  Case is under investigation.  

0216019222- Possession of a Controlled Substance- 12-14-16

Person Arrested- Michael Course 32 yo Chimayo, NM

Above listed person was found to have heroin in his possession after a unit check was conducted by detention staff.  Subject was booked accordingly.

Person Arrested- Lara Vejil 31 yo Santa Fe

Above listed person was stopped for traffic violation, was found to have an active warrant for failing to appear.  She was booked accordingly.

Location- 100 Block of Desert Rose Road

While applying for employment, victim stated that a background check revealed that an unknown person was using his personal information in California and Utah.  Case is under investigation.

0216019222 / Possession of a Controlled Substance / 12-14-16

Location: 28 Camino Justicia (ADC)

Suspect: Michael Course

On above date, Deputy Chastain was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to an inmate in possession of a controlled substance. Upon arrival it was determined the above inmate was found by jail staff to be in possession of a brown tar like substance consistent with heroin.  The substance field tested positive for heroin and the inmate was rebooked without further incident.

Location: Aspen Road- Edgewood, NM.

Decedent: 74 year old male

On the above date, Deputies responded to the above location in regards to an unresponsive male. Upon arrival contact was made with the reporting party who advised she could not wake the male. The decedent appeared to have passed away during the night. There was no signs foul play. Cause of death is pending at this time.

Charges: Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle

Value: $22,000.00

Stolen: 2016 Ford Escape

On 12/13/16 the victim started the above vehicle to warm it up. When the victim went outside to leave the vehicle was gone. The vehicle was entered into NCIC and a BOLO was issued. The vehicle was located by Santa Fe PD and the above suspect was placed under arrest. The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
