Deputy responded to ambulance assist call regarding 65 yr. old male unconscious and not breathing.  Upon arrival the male was found deceased.  Medical Investigator responded and cause of death appears medical with no foul play suspected

Location: Riverside Drive and Riverside Loop- Santa Fe

Arrested: Sanjuana Mercado-Mendez age: 52

Charges: Child Abuse, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Open Container

On the above date a blue Oldsmobile sedan was stopped at the above location. Deputy Cullison observed the vehicle failing to maintain lane as the vehicle headed west on Airport Road. Upon making contact, it was learned the driver was a minor and did not possess a valid drivers license. The above individual was in the rear seat of the vehicle and under the influence of intoxicating liquor. The above individual was also in possession of an open alcoholic beverage container. The above individual was placed under arrest and booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

0216012169/ Aggravted Assault w/ Deadly Weapon/ 08-03-16

Location: Rockridge Place- Cerrillos

Arrested: Christaysha Ferguson- age: 23

Charges: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Battery Against a Household Member

On the above date, Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a 911 hang up. Upon arrival it was learned the above individual battered a household member. During the altercation the above individual also threatened the victim with a handgun. The above individual was booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Suspect(s): Pending

Victim reported an unknown suspect had obtained his social security number and home address and opened an account with Seventh Avenue Company.  In addition, unknown suspect purchased a wireless printer in the amount of $211.90. Case is under investigation.

0216012129 / Possession of a controlled substance / 8-2-2016

Location: State Road 76 / Calle de la Capilla    Chimayo,NM

Suspect: Shayla Romero     Age:26    Truchas, N.M.

Deputy arrested suspect during a motor vehicle crash investigation. Suspect was found to have in her possession a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Suspect was arrested and transported to jail where she was booked accordingly.

Victim reported to deputy that an ex-tenant is believed to have stolen the listed item from the home while the tenant was moving out. Contact was made with the tenant and she denied taking the item. Case is under investigation.

Between July 31, 2016 and August 2, 2016, unknown subjects unlawfully entered the above residence and took the above item which was valued at $500.  Case is under investigation.

Location- 100 Block of Hilltop Y Road Santa Fe, NM

Items Taken- Electronics valued at $4,100.

Between 9:30 am and 2:45 pm, unknown subjects made forced entry into the above residence and took the above listed items. Case is under investigation.

Victim reports a credit card was opened in victim's name and fraudulent charges were made in the amount of $6000.00.  Case is under investigation.

0216012087 / Larceny, Fraudulent use of a credit card / 08-02-16

Location: 6401 Richards Ave. Santa Fe Community College

On 08-02-16 the victim reported they lost their coin purse at the College.  Later someone used the victim's credit card to make several purchases at local stores totaling $2,000.00.
