0215007410, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 0519.2015

Location: 28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe Adult Detention Center

Arrested: Estrella Perez, age 28

Deputies responded to the jail regarding a narcotics violation.  During the search of the above suspect, Correctional Officers located a clear plastic baggie being concealed on the suspect.  The susbstance field tested positive for Heroin, the suspect was rebooked on the above charges.  

0215007327, Possession of Drug Paraphernailia, 5/17/15

Suspect: Derek Salazar  Age: 24  Espanola

Derek Salazar was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after the paraphernlia was discovered during a traffic stop.  He was booked without incident.

Arrested: Aragon, Neal; 30 years of age; Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505

At the above stated location, the above stated deputy observed a vehicle make an abrupt stopt at the traffic signal. This action prompted the deputy to investigate the suspects driving further. The deputy turned around in an attempt to locate the vehicle and when doing so, the suspect crossed the intersection, turned left on Aviation Drive and onto Hart Road very quickly. The deputy found the suspect in his vehicle in the parking lot of a local business. The deputy attempted to make contact with the suspect when the suspect exited his vehicle. Commands were given to the suspect to get back in the vehicle but the suspect did not comply. The suspect became increasingly upset and began to yell obscenities at the officer and tried to walk away. The deputy then attempted to place the suspect into custody when the suspect actively resisted the deputy by pulling away to avoid being detained. The suspect was subsequently arrested and booked in to the Adult Detention Facility on the above charges without incident.

Location: #28 Camino Justicia (Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility) Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a report of a criminal sexual penetration of a female inmate. It was reported that one (1) female inmate held another female inmate down, while another female inmate posed as a "lookout" and then sexaully assaulted her in search of narcotics. Evidence was collected at the scene and the case was turned over Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Unit for further investigation.

Location: Emily Road Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508

Arrested: Juvenile

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a missing juvenile that was also on electronic monotoring. The juvenile was located by deputies and returned home. Upon returning home, it was learned that prior to the juvenile leaving the home, the juvenile grabbed his mother by the throat. The juvenile also had broken a mirror inside the residence prior to leaving. The juvenile was arrested and booked into the juvenile detention facility without incident after cintact was made with the Juvenile Probation Office.

Arrested: Amanacer Quintana      Age: 36      Santa Fe,NM

Deputies were dispatched to the jail in regards to an inmate being found in possession of a controlled substance while she was incarcerated. Deputy re booked the inmate into the jail with  the additional charges.

Victim reported to Deputy that an unknown company had contacted her via phone and informed her of services they could provide. Victim paid for the services and after, the company called again stating they were refunding her payment but asked she send a portion of the money back. The victim complied but after several more times of this happening, she was alerted of a possible scam. Case is under investigation.

Arrested: Manuel Favela      Age: 28      Santa Fe,NM

Deputy initiated a traffic stop with the listed persons vehicle after observing a traffic violation.The driver stated he did not have a valid license to operate a vehicle and wasrevoked arrest pusuant. The driver was arrested and upon arriving at the jail, he was found to be in possession of controlled substances. The subject was charged accordingly.

Suspect: Mario Maestats Age: 32  Espanola

 

Inmate at Detention facility was found in possession of a large quanity of narcotics with intent to distribute Heroin, Cocaine and Suboxone.  He was charged and re-booked for Trafficking.

Arrested: Vaughn, Pamela A.; 63 years of age; Santa Fe, NM 87506

The above suspect was involed in a motor vehicle crash at the above location and it was suspected that the driver was under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or drug. Contact was made with the suspect at the hospital. Deputies observed signs of impairment and a strong odor of an intoxicating liquor was emitting from the suspects expelled breath. Standardized Field Sobriety tests were administered and signs of impairment were agian noted. The suspect consented to a legal blood and was subsequently arrested on the above stated charges without incident.
