Case # 0214004055 Unattended Death 03-18-14

Location: Arapahoe Road (Vista Primera subdivision)

Victim: 53 yoa male (Santa Fe)

On March 18, 2014 victim was located in his bedroom deceased. Victim appears to have suffered from medical conditions. No foul play is suspected and the Office of the Medical Investigator was notified.

Location Santa Fe County Road 88 and Gould Lane

Arrested: Victor Miramontes 48 yoa male

Driver was stopped for traveling 13 MPH above the posted speed limit. Upon contact with the driver, it was learned the driver was revoked due to a prior DWI. The driver was arrested and booked without incident. The vehicle was seized as per county ordinance.

Case # 0214004040 Agg. Battery against a household member 03-17-14

Arrested:Jeremy Thomas 19 yoa male

Victim: 25 yoa female

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of NM 76 & Ben Quintana MHP road. Upon arrival Deputies learned an on duty Rio Arriba Sheriff's Deputy witnessed the above suspect battering the victim while on patrol of the area. Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly. Victim sustained a small scratch to her arm.

Items taken: Misc. Jewlery

Victim reported between March 12th and March 17th unknown persons gained unauthorized entry into their residence and stole misc. jewlery. There were no signs of forced entry at the residence. Suspects are pending further investigation.

Case#:0214004008/DWI, and Roadways laned for Traffic/Date: 03-17-2014

Location: State Road 599 mile marker 11, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Victor Gallegos 56 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: DWI and Roadways laned for traffic

Deputies responded to the area of State Road 599 and US 84/285 in reference to a reckless driver.  Deputy located the vehicle, a Gray in color Ford F-350 at the above location.  Deputy observed the vehicle fail to maintan its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver.  Upon contact with the driver an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from the drivers breath and person.  Driver admitted to consuming five beers prior to driving.  SFST's were adminstered and driver displayed signs of impairment.  Driver was arrested and advised of the NM Implied Consent Advisory, which agreed to be tested.  Breath test resulted in a BrAC of .13/.13.  The above was booked accordingly without further incident on the above charges. 

Case#:0214003969/Fraudulent use of a Credit Card, Theft of a Credit Card, and Larceny/Date: 03-15-2014

Location: Sierra Azul, Santa Fe, NM 87507 (SR 599 Area)

Stolen: Bank of America Debit Card, and Wedding Band Ring Set Total estimated value: $2500.00

Victim reports unknown persons stole the above items from the above location.  Several withdrawals from a bank account were made between the dates of March 14, 2014 and March 15, 2014 with the stolen debit card. The withdrawals made from the account totalled in the amount of $955.00.  It is unknown at this time when the above items were taken.  Case still pending further investigation. 

Case# 0214003962 Aggravated DWI

Location:  US Highway 84/285, Exit 175, Teseque, NM

Vehicle:  Red, 2013, Nissan, 4 door

Suspect:  Abdiel I. Lopez-Alvarado, 37, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Open Container

On Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10: 26 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location and was reported via 9-1-1 from another driver that the suspect may be an impaired driver.  The suspect was subsequently located operating the vehicle in the parking lot of the Camel Rock Casino. When asked to step out of the vehicle the suspect attempted to walk away from the deputy.  When the deputy attempted to restrain the suspect he attempted to pull away from the deputy.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .16 or greater.  There was an open can of Modelo Beer in the center console.  The vehicle was siezed pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5.

Vehicle:  White, 2008, Lincoln, Pick-up

Suspect:  Jose Ortiz, 56, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Roadways Laned for Traffic, Open Container, Resisting or

                 Obstructing an Officer

On Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 7:20 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location and was unable to maintain a single lane of travel.  When given a visual command to stop (activated emergency lighs) the suspect failed to obey this command and continued travelling for approximately 1 mile before briniging the vehicle to a stop.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .16 or greater. There were open containers of Budweiser Beer in the vehicle.

Location: Bishops Lodge Road, Santa Fe, NM, 87505

 On March 15, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on Bishops Lodge Road in reference to a reported Identity Theft. Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim who stated unknown suspect(s) used her identity in an attempt for monetary gain. This case remains under investigation.

Arrested: Andrew Narvaiz 25 years old, Santa Fe, NM, 87507

 On March 15, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on El Sol Court in referense to a domestic dispute. Upon Deputies arrival contact was made with both individuals involved. Evidence at the scene showed the suspect Andrew Narvaiz battered the victim after an argument. The suspect was arrested without incident. Andrew Narvaiz was transported to the Santa Fe County Detention Center where he was booked accordingly.
