Case#: 0213019175/ Driving while license suspended-revoked/ Date: 12/10/13

Suspect:  Carlos Garcia, age 48, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Driving while license suspended-revoked

On 12/10/13 deputy was at the above location and observed a gray pickup at the intersection.  Deputy observed a small child in the vehicle that did not appear to be in a child restraint.  A traffic stop was conducted.  Deputy ran suspect through DMV which revealed that the suspect had a revoked driver's license with the arrest clause.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe, County Adult Detention Center. 

Case#: 0213019182/ Battery against a household member, Interference with Communications, Criminal Damage to Property of a house

Location:  2800 block of Lopez Lane, Santa Fe, NM (near Rufina)

On 12/10/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a domestic dispute.  Victim stated that she and suspect were involved in an argument when the suspect grabbed her by the throat and pushed her to the ground.  Victim stated she was going to call 911 and suspect grabbed her cell phone and damaged it.  Estimated damage amount is $250.00.  Suspect fled the area.

Location:  5000 block of Agua Fria Park Road, Santa Fe, NM (off of Agua Fria)

On 12/10/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that between 645 a.m. and 430 p.m. unknown persons gained entry into her residence by breaking a window.  Victim stated that unknown persons stole a DVD player, an Ipod, misc. jewelry, misc. US Currency, and misc. figurines.  Estimated value of items taken is $3840.00.  Estimated damage amount is $100.00.

Arrested: Gayle Ortega 25 old female, Espanola NM

The above listed subject was arrested after she reported to electronic monitoring. Suspect was found to have 2 folding knives in her possession as she entered the jail facility. She was charged and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Stolen: Toshiba laptop, iPad, Rolex watch, Bohlin watch, Tag Heuer watch, Falcon Airmain watch, Gucci diamond watch, UNC National Championship Diamond Football Ring, 100 Misc. silver rings and pendants, 75 Misc. earrings and bracelets, Bose Stereo. Roberto Coin 18K with Diamonds.

Victim reported that sometime between 12/9/13 and 11/30/2013 some unknown person unlawfully entered the above residence and stole the above listed items from within the residence.

The above items stolen were valued at about $58855.00

Arrested: Randy Martinez 43year old male, Chimayo NM

The above listed subject was arrested, after a rolling domestic disturbance was reported to Sheriff’s Office at the above location. Evidence was found to lead deputies to believe that an assault and battery had occurred and that the victim was not allowed to leave freely. Suspect was charged and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Case#:0213019098/Aggravated DWI, Open Container of Alcoholic Beverage, Driving on roadway laned for traffic/Date: 12-08-13

Location: Airport Road/ Geo Lane, Santa Fe, NM  (Airport Road Area)

Arrested: Erick Alecio-Pereira 38 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Aggraveted DWI, Open container of alcoholic beverage, and Driving on roadways laned for traffic

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Black in color Nissan at the above location after observing the vehicle failing to maintain lane of travel.  Upon contact with the driver an odor of intoxicant was detected.  SFST's were attempted but stopped for the driver's safety. Driver was then arrested and submitted to a breath test resulting .18/.18.  Above was booked accordingly on the above charges without further incident.
