Case#: 0213015741/ Death Investigation/ Date: 10/5/13

Deputy assigned:  Deputy Kurt Whyte

Commander entering:  Lt. Linda Ortiz

Location:  3300 Calle Po Ae Pi, Santa Fe, NM (Casa Villita)

Victim:  44 year old female

On 10/5/13 deputy responded to above location in reference to a Death Investigation.  Victim's brother arrived at victim's residence and located victim unconcious, not breathing.  Victim suffered from several illnesses.  OMI was contacted and took over investigation.  No foul play was involved.

0213015730 Violation of Order of Protection 10/05/2013

Deputy assigned: Efrain Nunez

Location: Village Way, Agua Fria St area

Arrested: Douglas Gerash 59 year old male, Santa Fe NM

On this date Victim reported that her husband had returned home after being served with an order of protection. The above suspect was located at the residence and arrested without incident for violating the restraining order. Suspect was booked into Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center on above charges.

Case # 0213015721 - Burglary - 10/14/13

Deputy assigned: Deputy R. J. Clark

Location: Las Estrellas - La Cienega, NM

Victim reports that a binder with miscellaneous court documents was stolen from inside his residence sometime between 12:00pm and 5:00pm on October 4, 2013. There were no signs of forced entry at the residence. Investigation is still ongoing.

Case#: 0213015705/ Burglary, Larceny/ Date: 10/4/13

Deputy assigned:  Deputy Vanessa Weinrick

Commander entering:  Lt. Linda Ortiz

Location:  Hyde Park Road, Santa Fe, NM

On 10/4/13 deputy responded to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Dept. in reference to a burglary that occurred on Hyde Park Road. Victim stated that between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. unknown persons gained entry into their friend's vehicle and stole her purse. Victim stated that inside the purse was a wallet, several credit cards ,bank cards and gift cards, prescription bifocal glasses, and an unknown amount of US Currency. Victim stated that she cancelled her credit cards and was told that one of them had been used in the amount of $69.11. There was no damage to the vehicle. Estimated amount of items taken is $1505.00.

Case#: 0213015697/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 10/4/13

Location:  1500 block of Burro Lane, Santa Fe, NM (off of West Alameda)

 

On 10/4/13 deputy responded to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that unknown persons gained entry into her sheds between 10/2/13 and 10/4/13.  Victim stated that unknown persons broke the latch to the shed.  Victim stated that unknown persons took a chainsaw, and misc. tools from the shed.  Several batteries, an extension cord, and 4 tires and rims were taken from the front yard.  Estimated value of items taken is $1,100.00.  Estimated damage amount is $10.00.

Case #0213015660 - Larceny - 10/3/13

Location: Avenida Julianna - Santa Fe, NM

The victim reported that he went to bed and woke up in the morning of 10/3/13 to find $1500.00 missing from his pants pocket. A family member or someone posing as a family member is suspected.

0213015647 / Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle (recovered), Arson, Larceny / 10-3-13

Stolen / Recovered: Carrera Boat white in color

Location: West Alameda area , Santa Fe, NM, 87507

Victim stated that on October 03, 2013 between 7:00 am and 11:00 am suspect(s) took his Carrera boat from his property without his permission. The boat was located at which time it was discovered the boat was set on fire. Parts from the boat were discovered missing. This case ramains under investigation.

Case#: 0213015651/ Burglary, Larceny/ Date: 10/3/13

Location:  100 block of Buffalo Street, Santa Fe, NM (Butterfly Springs MHP)

On 10/3/13 deputy responded to above location in reference to an auto burglary.  Victim stated that between 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. unknown persons removed the cover to his battery on his travel trailer and stole the battery.  Estimated value of the battery is $200.00.  No damage was done to the trailer.

0213015617 Death Investigation 10/03/2013

Deputy assigned: Isaiah Bryce

Commander: Cpl. Fred Suazo

Location: Monte Alto Rd (Eldorado NM area)

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a death investigation. The victim (78 year old female) was found unresponsive and not breathing by family member. CPR was conducted by paramedics, but was unsuccessful. At this time death appears to be of natural causes.

Case#: 0213015606/ Death Investigation/ Date: 10/2/13

Deputy assigned:  Deputy Gabriel Ortiz

Commander entering:  Lt. Linda Ortiz

Location:  700 block of State Road 344, Edgewood, NM (Cedar Grove)

Victim:  58 year old male, Santa Fe, NM

On 10/2/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to an unresponsive, not breathing male.  RECC advised that the Medics were on scene performing CPR.  Upon deputy's arrival, it was learned that the victim was loading hay and then collapsed.  OMI arrived on scene and took over the scene.  There was no foul play involved.
