0209010270/ Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card/ 11-24-2009

On 11-24-09 the victim reported that on 11-22-09, she had used her credit card at a movie rental store in Santa Fe. The victim reported that she may have left the card at the store. The victim stated that she contacted the bank to report it stolen and found that several charges had been made on the account. Suspect information is pending

On 11-24-09 the victim stated that between 6:30pm to 7:30pm, unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through an unlocked sliding door. Once inside the residence the above items were taken. Suspect information is pending at this time.

02090101264/ Burglary/ 11-24-2009

Stolen: Dell Laptop Computer, Sterling silver and wood tray

Value: $1,550.00

On 11-24-09 the victim stated that she left her residence from 100pm to 2:30pm. The victim reported that she returned to find her bedroom rifled through and the above items taken. Entry is believed to be gained through a large dog door. Suspect information is pending at this time.

0209010254 Death Investigation

Locaton: Santa Fe County

 On 11-24-09 at approximately 11:00am, 82 year old male subject was found deceased by a family friend at his residence. There were no signs of foul play and it appears the death was that of natural causes.

 

0209010243 Driving on Suspended Revoked/Vehicle Seizure 11-23-09

Arrested: Edgar Ortiz-Pacheco 27yoa

On the above date, the above named officer conducted a traffic stop on the defendant for failure to yield right of way to oncoming traffic.  Upon running a status check on his driving priviledges, he returned with a revoked license with and arrest clause for a prior DWI.  The defendant was arrested, and his vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance.  For further information, refer to officer's report.

On 11/23/09 victim reported unknown persons removed an I phone, an Ipod, a maroon leather purse containing several items inside from her work truck.  Victim stated that she left the doors unlocked.  Victim stated that this occurred between 1500 and 1530 hours.  Iphone was entered into NCIC.  Estimated value of items taken is about $500.00.

On 11/23/09 victim reported between 0600 and 1545 hours unknown suspects gained entry by prying back door open.  Victim stated suspects took an HP Pavilion Laptop, an Olympus digital camera, a 30 pack of Tecate Beer, a bb gun, $350.00 in cash, $150.00 in coins, a portable DVD player, an Alltel wireless card and a Norelco electric shaver.  Estimated value of items taken is $2375.00.  Estimated value of damaged door is $500.00.

Location:  38 Santa Fe County Road 84B, Santa Fe, NM (El Rancho)

Suspect:  Joe Paul Forsyth, age 19, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery on a household member, False Imprisonment

On 11/23/09 victim and suspect were involved in a physical altercation because suspect found out victim was cheating on him with her ex-boyfriend.  Victim allowed their dog to leave which angered the suspect.  Victim got out of vehicle and suspect got out of vehicle and forced victim back in.  While in vehicle suspect hit victim on the arms and the back.  Suspect did not let victim leave.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
