0208009800 Aggravated Battery 11-11-08

Deputy Assigned: Chris Archuleta

Commander: Lt. Marco Lucero

Location: 11 Camino Capilla Vieja, SFNM

On the above date, officers responded to a fight in progress at the above location.  Upon arrival contact was made with three males all who had injuries and were highly intoxicated.  Each gave different accounts as to what had occured.  Neither of them could identify any suspects, only that they had been jumped for unknown reasons.  All were treated by medics and transported to the hospital for additonal treatment.  None of the males had life threatening or serious injuries.

CHARGES:  ATTEMPT TO COMMIT A FELONY - ROBBERY, WARRANT

On this date suspect went into a convenience located on Airport Road and attempted to remove cash from the cash register when a citizen thwarted his attempt.  Citizen was able to get the license plate of vehicle as suspect fleed the area.  Suspect was located at his house and was taken into custody.  Suspect was also found to have a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear out of Snata Fe City Municiplal Court.  Suspect was taken to the Adult Detention Center.

On this date victim reported that her estranged husband attempted to gain her personal information from her doctor located in Pojoaque.  Victim reported her husband has been harassing her and violating the TRO in the past (22 times).  Case is under investigation and charges are pending.

Arrested: Miguel Ortiz, Age:22, Address:2779 Sycamore Loop,SFNM

Charges: DWI, No Drivers License, No Insurance

On the above date the suspect was pulled over for a traffic violation. During the stop it was determined that the suspect was under the influence of intoxicating liqour or drugs. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked accordingly at the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center.

On the above date the victim reported that someone unlawfully gained entry to her residence and stole a 42 inch flat screen television.

Arrested: David Madrid, age 25, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Caprice Howland, age 20, Santa Fe, NM

On 11/10/08, the above defendant was observed speeding and failing to maintain lane. He was stopped and upon contact, was observed to be impaired and under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs. There was additionally a 2 year old child in the vehicle with him. There was a passenger, which was the child's mother who also admitted to consuming alcohol and had a breath alcohol level of .19. The driver refused a breath test. Both the driver and the child's mother were placed under arrest and charged accordingly.

Location: Indian Circle, Santa Fe, NM

On 11-10-08, deputies responded to the above location regarding an unresponsive 56 year old male. Medics were on scene attempting resuscitation but were unsuccessful. The victim's wife reported that he had been experiencing heart burn throughout the day and had not been feeling well. The Medical Investigator arrived on scene and the preliminary investigation showed no trauma to the the deceased, no signs of foul play, and no suspicious circumstances. Investigation is still ongoing.

On 11-10-08 the above individual was placed under arrest after he was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. The victim was battered during the dispute. The subject was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail and booked accordingly.

Victim reported that sometime between 8;30 pm on 11/8/08 and 12;30 am on 11/09/08, unknown person(s) UNLAWFULLY gained entry to his vehicle, via an unlocked door, and stolea Kenwood Flip Screen CD player, valued at $1,200. Investigation continues.
