Victim reported that they were contacted by a male on December 3, 2020. The male told the victim that she had acquired felony charges and to avoid them she would have purchase several gift cards and send them to the male. The victim did as the male asked and was scammed. No suspect information at this time.

2020012893, Death investigation,12-7-2020

Location: Blue Sky Circle, Santa Fe, NM

Deceased: 71 year old male

On Monday, December 7, 2020 at approximately 7:50am Deputies responded to above location in reference to an ambulance assist. Victim was unconscious with diagonal breathing. Upon arrival observed paramedics where performing CPR, but lifesaving procedures were unsuccessful.  OMI responded to the scene and took over the investigation. No signs of foul play were noted.

Suspect was observed committing a traffic violation. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was impaired. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

Suspect: Nicholas Shapiro / 40 yom / Albuquerque, NM

Dispatch received information that the suspect was driving intoxicated and a detailed vehicle description was given. Deputies located the vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was impaired. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

Suspect: Unknown

Stolen: Utility Trailer

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a utility trailer being taken. The reporting party stated between November 21, 2020 and December 5, 2020 an unknown suspect stole the trailer. No suspects have been identified and the case is under investigation.

Suspect: Miguel Espinoza / 31yom / Espanola, NM

Suspects vehicle was pulled over on a traffic stop and he fled from the deputy as she was making contact with him. Suspect crashed his vehicle shortly after he fled. It was discovered he was fleeing due to him having active arrest warrants. He was also found in possession of a firearm and he was a felon.

Suspect exited the passenger side of a vehicle and a handgun fell from the suspect's pant leg. Suspect was intoxicated. He was arrested and booked accordingly.

Location: US 285 at mile post 267

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a report of a reckless driver. When deputies arrived in the area they located a vehicle that matched the description of the reported reckless driver. Contact was made with the driver who appeared to be under the influence. The driver was arrested when it was found he was unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. The driver was booked into SFCADF.
