2021000083 / DWI (Felony), Driving while license revoked / 1-5-21

Deputy assigned: J. Soriano

Commander entering: Lt. M. Delgado

Location: State Road 76 at South McCurdy Road

Arrested: Larry Martinez, 41-year-old male from Chimayo N.M.

On 1-5-21 at approximately 8:30pm a traffic stop was conducted on Mr. Martinez's 1998 Chevy truck for no tail lights.  Upon contacting Mr. Martinez he had an odor of alcohol emitting from his person.  A DWI investigation was conducted and he showed signs of impairment.  He was placed under arrest for DWI (4th or subsequent offense/Felony).  His driver's license was also revoked due to a prior DWI arrest.  He submitted to a breath test.  The results showed his breath alcohol concentration to be over twice the legal limit.  He was booked into the Santa Fe County jail accordingly.  

 

2021000050 / Possession of Stolen Vehicle / 1-4-2021

Location: area of Agua Fria St / Maez Road

Suspect: Daniel J. Martinez / 55 yom / Santa Fe, NM

Suspect was observed towing a trailer that was reported stolen. Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

2021000028 / Aggravated DWI / 1-2-2021

Location: Airport Road / Paseo Del Sol

Suspect: Nichelle Benavidez / 18 yof / Santa Fe, NM

Suspect was observed committing a traffic violation. During the investigation, it was learned that the suspect was under the suspicion of DWI. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

2021000027 / Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle / 1-2-2021

Suspect: Pauline Perea / 43 yof / Albuquerque, NM

Suspect was observed committing a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, it was learned that the suspect was driving a stolen motor vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

2021000013 / Possession of Meth / 1-1-21

Deputy assigned: P. Ficke

Commander entering: Cpl. J. Talache

Location: 100 block Quintana Rd.

Suspect: Brian Varela / 41 YO / Male Santa Fe

On the above date Mr. Quintana was stopped for a traffic offense Mr. Quintana had an active warrant for his arrest. During a vehicle tow inventory methamphetamine was located and Mr. Quintana was charged and booked accordingly.   

2020000017 / Missing Person / 1-1-2021

Location: 400 block County Rd. 84

Missing: Jaime Powers 45 year old male

On the above date deputies were dispatched to the above area in reference to a male subject that was missing. Deputies made contact with the reporting party who stated she has not seen her brother in a few days. The reporting party stated her brother was last seen wearing a Teal hoodie and blue jeans he is described as being 6'0" 165 LBS, Blue eyes, light skin and having sandy blonde hair. This is an active investigation and is ongoing.

2021000006 / Driving while License Revoked (66-8-122G) / 01-01-21

Location: Airport Rd. / S. Meadows

Suspect: Dorella Mena 36 YO / Santa Fe.

The above driver was stopped for a traffic offense and was booked into ADC after it was learned her license was revoked.

2020013275/Burglary/12-29-2020

Location: Quiet Valley Loop, Edgewood, NM

Stolen: Skillsaw, 105 Piece Socket Set

On Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 deputies responded to the above area in reference to an after the fact auto burglary. Contact was made with the victim and they advised unknown suspect(s) stole the above mentioned items from a vehicle. This occurred between 12:30 am and 07:00 am on 12-29-2020. This case remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 deputies were dispatched to the above area for an after the fact residential burglary. Contact was made with the victim and they stated between December 26 and 29th, unknown persons gained unlawful access to the residence and stole two black slate rocks. This case remains under investigation.

Suspect: Pending

Stolen: Cosmetic bag, Naloxone pack and personal documents

Victim reported sometime between 8:30pm on 12-27-2020 and 6am on 12-28-2020, unknown suspect(s) entered both of her vehicles and stole the above mentioned items. Case is under investigation.
