Case#: 0208005096/ Aggravated DWI, Failure to yield, Driver must be licensed/ Date: 06/15/08

Location of arrest:  Airport Road & County Road 61A, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Pablo Rodriguez-Varela, age 32, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Failure to yield, Driver must be licensed

On 6/15/08 at 0044 hours, a traffic stop was conducted on a tan Chevy Lumina as it was observed failing to yield at a posted stop sign at the above intersection.  Upon making contact with the driver, he was identified as the above suspect.  Suspect displayed several signs of impairment and submitted to SFST's.  Suspect was taken into custody and agreed to submit to a breath test his BrAC were .23, .23.  Suspect was found not to have a valid driver's license.  Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Case#: 0208005079/ Possession of a controlled substance to wit: Cocaine, DWI, Careless Driving/ Date: 06/13/08

Location of arrest:  Airport Road & Camino Entrada, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect #1:  Nicholas Naranjo, age 21, Santa Cruz, NM

Charged:  Possession of a controlled substance to wit:  Cocaine, DWI, Careless Driving

Suspect #2:  James Montano, age 22, Espanola, NM

Charged:  Parties to a crime

Above vehicle was travelling east on Airport Road in a careless manner.  Vehicle was stopped by Sgt. Borrego and Suspect #1 displayed signs of impairment.  Suspect #1 was given SFST's and showed further signs of impairment.  Suspect #1 was arrested and read NM Implied Consent and agreed to be tested.  His Brac was .14, .14.  Cocaine was located in the vehicle and the driver was charged with possession of a controlled substance.  The passenger, Suspect #2 was arrested for allowing the driver to drive while he was impaired.  Both suspects were arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Case#: 0208005121/ Aggravated Assault against a household member/ Date: 06/16/08

Location of arrest:  6473 Vuelta Ventura, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Manuel Romero, age 33, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated Assault against a household member (2 counts)

On the above stated date, deputies were dispatched to a fight in progress.  Deputies made contact with the suspect who was identified as Manuel Romero at the above location.  Suspect admitted to being in an argument with his girlfriend and had damaged his own furniture.  Contact was made with the victim at a different location in which she stated that suspect was cooking drugs so she had thrown it due to the kids being in the home.  Suspect then got angry and threw a glass table and a lamp at the victim in which both had shattered off the wall and cut victim on her arms.  Suspect was then arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location: 4 W. Ramada Way   Santa Fe

Suspect: Mario Medina   Age: 33   Santa Fe

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at 4 Ramada Way West in the Valle Vista sub-division.  Mario Medina was arrested for Assaulting his mother after an investigation concluded that Mario was intoxicated and was striking at his mother until his father intervened and restrained him.  The mother was not injured.

Victim reported tha sometime on 6-12-08, an unidentified person(s) burglarized her home. Items of jewelry were taken from inside. No suspects or witnesses are known at this time.

Location: Waldo Street - Cerrillos, NM

Victim reported that sometime between 6-11-08 and 6-12-08, unknown person(s) gained entry into her residence and stole a laptop computer, handbags, and misc. jewelry. No signs of forced entry were located. No witnesses are known at this time.

Location: SFC Road 45/Highview Lane - Bonanza Creek - Santa Fe

Arrested: Jason Lafountain - age 34, Santa Fe, NM

On 6-14-08, the above subject was driving on the above roadway and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and crashed. He was found to be impaired by alcohol and he admitted to having consumed alcoholic beverages prior to driving. The driver was arrested after being medically cleared and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Suspect: Joseph Anaya - age 28, Santa Fe, NM

On 6/13/08, between 1000am and 1021am, the above inmate was upset for not being allowed more visitation time. While being escorted to his cell, the suspect lunged and struck a corrections officer. The suspect was subsequently restrained.

Victim reported that sometime between May 23, 2008 at 5:00 pm and May 24, 2008 at 1:00 pm an unknown person(s) gained unauthorized entry into her apartment through an unsecure window and stole $400.00 in cash.  No suspect or witness information at this time.

Suspect: Artemio Ruiz, age 40, Santa Fe, NM

Charged: Abandonment or Abuse of a child X 2, DWI, Driver must be licensed

Deputies were dispatched to Camino Capilla Vieja in regards to a domestic disturbance.  Deputies learned the argument was because the suspect was driving intoxicated with his family in a vehicle.  Deputies located the vehicle on Camino Capilla Vieja with the suspect driving his wife and two daughters, ages 12 and 4, home after a party.  The driver showed signs of impairment after completing the SFST and was arrested.  The suspect was given a breath test to determine his a Brac, which resulted in a .10 and .11. The suspect was arrested and also charged with two counts of abondonment or abuse of a child, due to having his young children in the vehicle.  The suspect was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center and booked.
