Victim reported that at 8:07pm on 3/4/08 his 2004 Ford Taurus was stolen from residence. This occured sometime between 2/2 and 2/16. Victim was out of town during this time.

0208001822 Burglary / Larceny / Criminal Damage to Property 03/04/08

Victim returned to home at 2:30pm to find a laundry door opened. Victim noticed items missing: TV, and misc jewelery. A print was located on closet door and will be sent to crime lab for possible suspect match.

Sometime between 2/3/08 and 3/3/08 unknown person(s) may have jumped the brick wall surrounding the CNMEC Substation. Building was accessed via smashed windows and 2 large fire extinguishers were taken ($300 value)

Victim reported that her residence was left unlocked for about an hour from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Some unknown person(s) stole TV, video games, PS2, Wii, DVD movies, & a laptop. ($3685 value). Victim believes the residence was possibly entered by someone they knew.

0208001801 DWI / Careless Driving / Revoked Drivers License 03/03/08

Suspect: David Romanik age 47 male

Driver was found to be impaired , he did submitt to a blood sample. He has 6 prior DWI arrests and is currently on probation for 4th DWI offense. He currently has a He has a revoked drivers. An arrest order was issued for the driver, BAC by blood is pending.

0208001799 Child Abuse 03/03/08

Victim: 3 yr old female

The father of the victim reported that his daughter complained of rib pain and found a quarter sized scrape and bruise on abdomen. Victim advised that her teacher hurt her when she picked her up. Case is under investigation.  

0208001803 Death Investigation 03/03/08

Victim: 13 yr old female

Above mentioned victim was found not breathing. CPR was attempted but not successful. Victim had extensive medical history. Case under investigation however no signs of foul play are suspected at this time.

A person reported that an unidentified person described as: a black man approx 5'10" to 6' tall, approx 200lbs, wearing a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, armed with a black in color handgun was found in the home left by the suspect. The victim managed to flee the residence after a struggle. No forced entry was found at the residence.

Above mentioned female passd away at her son's home. OMI did not find any reason to be concerned about. No foul play is suspected.

0208001765 Aggravated DWI/Careless Driving 3/2/2008

Suspect: Ivan Selestewa, 48 yr old male

The suspect was arrested for Aggr. DWI and careless driving. The driver was reported by citizens through Drunk Busters. He was found to be intoxicated and was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.
