Deputy Assigned: Edgar Madrid

Location: Bow Hunter / El Llano Road  Espanola, NM

Arrested: Jerome Valerio     Age: 38      Espanola, NM 

Valerio was stopped by deputies after observing a traffic violation. Upon contacting the subject he was found to have two active warrants issued for his arrest. Subject was transported to jail without incident.

 

0219001270, Possession of Controlled substance; unlawfull carryin of a deadly weapon on school premises, 1-23-2019

Suspect: Paul Martinez 18 yoa, Santa Cruz, NM

Suspect was found in possession with a set of brace knuckles and a knife along with possession of a controlled substance to wit; marijuana when exiting the school campus. Subject was arrested and transported to ADC.

Case # 02190001231/ Comercial Burglary/ Larceny/ Criminal Damage to Property 1/22/19

Victim: Male, 49 yoa, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Cody Henson 34 yoa, Moriarty NM

Charges: Commercial Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at approximately 11:20 pm, deputy responded to location in reference to a commercial burglary alarm. Upon deputies arrival deputies discovered forced entry into the building. Surveillance video showed a male subject enter the business and remove items form the location. SFPD also had a commercial burglary where they located the suspect. the suspect matched the description of the suspect in the burglary on NM State Road 14.   

Case # 0219001147 Unattended Death 01-22-19

Location: County Line Rd. Edgewood

Deceased: 59 yoa male

On January 22nd 2018 at about 3 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to an assisting ambulance at 10 County Line Road. SFRECC advised a 59 yoa male was unresponsive. 

Investigation revealed the male had passed away during the night. The male was suffering from multiple medical issues. OMI came to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. No signs of foul play were noted.

Case #0219001119, Commercial Burglary

Location: Old Las Vegas Highway, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: Female, 60, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Commercial Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property

On Monday, January 21, 2019 at approximately 3:33pm, deputy responded to location in reference to a commercial burglary. An unknown suspect(s) forced entry by damaging the doors and removed ladders, refrigerated air compressors and two signs. Investigation is ongoing.

Stolen: wallet with debit card and documents

Victim reported two unlocked vehicles were broken into on the property.  The listed items were taken.  Case is under investigation.

0219001108 / Death Investigation, Motor Vehicle Crash / 01-21-19

Location: Rio En Medio Rd / NM 592

Deputies responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash at the listed location.  A 88 year old male was found inside the vehicle unresponsive.  Evidence at the scene of the crash indicated the male had a medical episode prior to the crash which caused his death.  No signs of foul play.

0219001103 / Aggravated Fleeing, Reckless Driving, Revoked Driver's License, Possession of Drug Parapheralia / 1-21-19

Location: I25 Mile Post 282

Suspect: Annastacia Serrano

Deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to a reckless driver.  Vehicle was located and failed to maintain its lane of travel.  Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled.  During the pursuit the vehicle ran through a red light at Siringo almost striking another vehicle.  Vehicle left roadway onto a jogging path and stopped as it could not longer continue.  Driver was detained and interviewed.  SFST's were administered and did not show signs of impairment.  Suspect returned on a revoked license and had an active warrant for arrest which was the excuse why she fled.  Driver arrested and booked on the listed charges.  During vehicle inventory several glass pipes consistent with methamphetamine use were located along with paraphernalia consistent with heroin use.

0219001074 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property / 1-20-19

Victim reported several trailers and sheds were broken into on the flea market property.  The above listed items were stolen.  Case is under investigation.

0219001083 / Death Investigation / 1-20-19

Location: Rio Vista Run

Victim: 88 Year Old Female

Deputies responded to the listed location in reference to an 88 year old female not conscious not breathing.  Investigation revealed the female was suffering from medical complications and passed away due to natural causes.
