On August 7, 2018, I was flagged down by a female requesting help with her son. When I arrived on scene, an attempt was made to contact the suspect. However, he did not answer the door. Smoke was observed coming from a bedroom window, and when entry was made on the residence there was a fire on top of the stove. The fire was extinguished. The suspect left a note stating he was going to burn the house down. The suspect also broke several items inside the residence prior to leaving the residence. A warrant was drafted for the suspect after he was not located in the area.

Victim: 39 Year Old Male

 Deputies responded to the above address for a Domestic Dispute.Above suspect struck victim in the face 4 to 5 times with an open fist and cornered her inside the home multiple times not allowing her to leave.Victim tried calling 911 and had phone taken by suspect not allowing the victim to call 911.Before being placed inside the patrol car, a green leafy substance and white powdery substance was found on the suspects person.Suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Stolen: Purse, Clothing, Cash, Checks and Documents

Victim reported the listed items were stolen from her residence during the night of August 6 and morning of August 7.  Suspect gained entry through a bedroom window.  Case is under investigation.

Charges: Santa Fe Magistrate Court Warrant (Failure to Appear), original charge of speeding and expired registration.

On 08-04-18 contact was made with the above subject while checking suspicious activity in the Rancho Viejo subdivision. The subject was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center without incident.

On 08-04-18 the reporting party stated he is housesitting for the homeowner and came home to find drawers in the master bedroom had been gone through. The reporting party stated he was away from the residence from 11:30am on  August 3rd to 11:30pm  on the 3rd of August.  Suspect information is pending at this time.
