Items Taken: $1000 (In Cash)

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference inference to a larceny.  Deputies made contact with victim who advised that $1000 in cash were taken from her purse.  Victim indicated that she was unsure when the money was taken. No suspects identified at this time.

Victim: 80 Year Old Male

Deputies responded to the Rio en Medio area in reference to a male not breathing. Medics arrived on scene and confirmed no signs of life. OMI investigator arrived and no foul play is suspected.

0217016323-Driving While License Revoked-10/31/17

Suspect: Ana Serano (31)

On Tuesday October 31, 2017 I ran a check on a license plate which returned to the suspect. The return showed the suspect had a revoked driver’s license with the arrest clause. I confirmed the registered owner was driving the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. I made contact with the suspect who stated she had her ignition interlock but did not have the money to get her interlock license. The suspect was arrested and the vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance 2013-05. The suspect was booked accordingly.

0217016311 / Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle, Larceny / 10-31-17

Deputy Assigned: Antonio Lopez

Location: Calle Orilla

Stolen: 2003 Toyota Corolla, $400

Victim reported between 10/30/2017 and 10/31/2017 unknown suspect(s) stole the vehicle from his driveway.  Also inside the vehicle was his wallet with $400.  Case is under investigation.

0217016303, Possession of a controlled substance, 10-31-2017

Location: 28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Mark Catanach (54)

Deputy was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in regards to a narcotic violation. Correction Officer stated on 10-30-2017 that a pat search was conducted on Inmate Mark Catanach.  A small piece of paper was located in his front shirt pocket. Correction Officer opened the paper and located a brown tar like substance wrapped in plastic. The substance was field tested and tested positive for Heroin.  He was charged and booked accordingly.

Taken: Smart Watch, Play Station 3 and $140($820)

Victim: 31 Year Old Female

On the above stated date the above stated individual advised me that the above stated items were stolen from her residents between 1350 and 1411hours on 10/30/2017. individual stated entry was made through a window when suspects removed the window mounted air conditioner.

Above suspect was served with an arrest warrant for failure to appear at aforementioned location.

Arrested: Eric Lujan (35)  Chimayo, NM

On October 29, 2017, deputies responded to the above location in reference to a domestic disturbance.  The victim reported while on the road (driving) with the suspect, she was threatened and feared she would be battered. Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly for assault on a household member.

 

0217016117-Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle-10/27/17

Vehicle: 2015 Kia Optima Blk.

Location: 577, NM344 South Mountain

On October 27, 2017 at approximately 3:45pm, I responded to South Mountain Elementary in reference to a stolen motor vehicle. Victim stated she believes the vehicle was taken sometime between 2:00pm and 3:35pm.  Victim said an event is being held tonight at the school and there was a high volume of traffic.  Victim stated she spoke with several staff member but no saw anything suspicious today.  Information on victim’s vehicle was obtained and it was entered into NCIC.  No evidence was located on scene and investigation is on-going. 

0217016107-Possession of Drug Paraphernaila-10/27/17

Suspect: Mark Catnach (54)

On the above date and time I was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. I met with Corrections Officer. He informed me that a strip search was conducted on Inmate Mark Catnach. A glass pipe was located on Inmate Catnach's person. He was charged and booked accordingly.
