Embezzled: 2005 Toyota Camry bearing NM/AYXA44 (Tan in Color)

On Monday, May 9th, 2022, deputies responded to the above location for a report of a stolen vehicle. Contact was made with the victim and they advised she allowed a person to use the above vehicle but the person failed to return the vehicle as had been agreed upon. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen and this case remains under investigation.

2022002761/Battery Against a Peace Officer/5-9-22

Suspect: Chavez, Cordell , 26 YOM, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a battery. Once on scene it was learned the above suspect punched a correction officer as he was doing a cell check. The above suspect was rebooked into jail with the charge of battery against a peace officer.

Suspect: Jadrian Henan , 21 YOM, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to battery. Once on scene it was learned that the suspect punched his 70 year old grand father in the face multiple time causing injuries. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

2022002722/ Aggravated Battery w/ Deadly Weapon,5/9/22

Suspect: Huber Castro Estrada , 25 YOM, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a road rage incident. The victim was calling 911 indicating that the suspect vehicle was repetitively ramming their vehicle. Once on scene deputies learned that the above suspect became angry because the victim drove around him. The suspect then chased the victim for several miles and rammed the victims vehicle several times. Suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

2022002750 / Arson / 5-8-22

Location: Residence on Rio Arriba County Road 99 (Chimayo NM, Santa Fe County)

Arrested: Kristal Sherwood, 28-year-old female from Chimayo New Mexico

On 5-8-22 Ms. Sherwood was involved in an argument with a family member.  During the argument the house caught fire.  Further investigation revealed Ms. Sherwood started the fire, which completely engulfed the home (total loss).  No injuries were sustained.  Ms. Sherwood was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.
