2022000287 / Driving while license revoked, Possession of Cocaine / 1-14-22

Deputy assigned: F. Hernandez

Commander entering: Lt. M. Delgado

Arrested: Lawrence Montoya, 37-year-old male from Espanola N.M.

On 1-14-22 a traffic stop was conducted on a Toyota Corolla driven by Mr. Montoya because the registration was expired.  Mr. Montoya was found to be driving on a revoked driver's license.  He was placed under arrest and 2 bags of Cocaine were located on his person.  He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

2022000262/Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle/01-13-2022

Deputy Assigned: J. Rivera

Commander Entering: Cpl. R. Girmendonk

Location: NM 14 MM44, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: Red Ford Expedition

Suspect: Unknown

Deputies were dispatched to above mentioned location in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim advised that he was in the process of securing a ranch gate with his vehicle located by the gate. He was approached by a male. The male jumped into the victims vehicle at location and fled the scene. The case is under investigation.

2022000245 / Burglary / 1-13-22

Deputy Assigned: B. Lattin

Location: 100 Block of Las Estrellas

Suspect: Edgar Herrera (30 YO male)

On the above date deputies were dispatched to a residence at the above location. Upon deputies arrival they located Mr. Herrera in a residence on the property. Mr. Herrera had gained forced entry into the residence and was gathering items of value when deputies arrived on scene. Mr. Herrera was arrested and booked

2022000241/Aggravated DWI/1-12-22

Deputy Assigned: Gabe Nieto

Incident Location: NM 502/US 84/285

Suspect: Cruz Salazar  Age: 53

On 1/12/22 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the listed suspects vehicle for failing to maintain its lane.  Upon contact with the driver, Deputy could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle.  SFST's were administered where the driver showed signs of impairment.  Driver refused a breath test and was arrested.

Stolen: Art paintings, Rugs, Statues and Misc. tools

Suspect: Unknown

On 1/11/22 Deputies responded to the listed location in reference to a burglary.  Victim reported sometime between 1/10/22 and 1/11/22 an unknown suspect broke into his storage unit and stole the listed items.  There is no suspect info at this time.

2022000235/Larceny/01-12-2022

Location:  E. Sunrise Drive, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Unknown

Deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a larceny. On scene, it was determined that 2 Persian Rugs and a blue leather shirt had been taken. It is unknown when the objects had been removed. Additionally, a 43 inch TV and a portable golf club holder had been stolen. This is an ongoing investigation and the suspects are unknown at this time.

2022000219,Burglary/Larceny,1-11-2022

Location; Carson Valley Way, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: numerous watches and sunglasses valued at $12,450.00

Victim reported sometime between July 2021 and January 2022, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into his residence and stole the above mentioned items.  At time of report, no  signs of force entry were reported. Case is under investigation.

2022000197/Possession of a Controlled Substance/01-10-2022

Location Valle Vista Blvd./NM 14

Arrested: Justin Barela, 38 YOM

On Monday, January 10th, 2022, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the above individual. The individual was found to have six active bench warrants. Upon placing him under arrest, he was placed in the rear of a patrol car. During this time, the subject hid two small baggies of cocaine under the seat. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

2022000168/Burglary/01-09-2022

Deputy Assigned: O. McCartney

Commander Entering: Lt. M. Delgado

Location: Avenida Del Sur/Richards Ave (Trailhead)

Stolen: Jewelry, Identity Documents, Books, Cellphone

On Sunday, January 9th, 2022, deputies responded to the above location for a report of an auto burglary. Contact was made with the victim and they advised between 2 and 3:00 pm on 1-9-2022, unknown suspects used a rock to shatter a window. Once inside the vehicle, the above items were stolen. This case remains under investigation.

2022000155/ DWI, ROADWAYS LANED FOR TRAFFIC AND OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE

ASSISED DEPUTY: GABE NEITO

ENTERING COMMANDER: CPL. CLAY CULLISON

LOCATION: INTERSTATE 25 MM 274 SANTA FE COUNTY

ARRESTEE: MARVIN HERNANDEZ LOPEZ- 36- YEAR OLD H/M AND A RESIDENT OF CITY OF SANTA FE, NM

On 1-8-22 Santa Fe County Deputy Ward responded to a reckless driver call coming in from Sandoval County. Deputy Ward located the vehicle and observed a traffic infraction. Based off this infraction, Deputy Ward stopped this vehicle which was driven by Marvin Hernandez Lopez. Deputy Ward observed signs of impairment. Deputy Ward had difficulty speaking with Lopez as he only spoke Spanish, so Deputy Gabe Neito took over this investigation. The investigation yielded an arrest of Lopez for DWI, Open Container of an alcoholic beverage and Roadways laned for traffic. Lopez was booked accordingly; after he submitted to a chemical test, which resulted in a 0.21g/210L and 0.23g/210L respectfully.
