Stolen: 2 chain saws, generator, air compressor, assorted wood working power tools

Victim reported on this date that sometime between 11:00am and 3:00pm some unknown person entered his property and stole the above listed tools from inside a storage tent that had not been fully built.
The items stolen were valued at about $3390.00

Case# 0210009573 Aggravated DWI

Location:  State Road 599, Mile Marker 3, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle:  Blue, 1989, Ford, Pick-up

Suspect:  Alfred H. Garcia, 45, Albuquerque, NM

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Roadways Laned for Traffic, Probation Violation

On October25, 2010 at 11:35 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle south at the location and was unable to maintain a single lane of travel.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Breathalyzer Test.  The suspect was also found to be on Supervised Probation and an Arrest Order was obtained from the Probation and Parole Division.

No Suspect Information

Victim reported that unknown persons broke into his vehicle. The burglars stole the above stereo. There is no other information available.

0210009560 Bringing Contraband into a Jail 10/25/10

Location: Santa Fe Detention Center

Arrested: Jacob Gomez DOB: 11/25/85 Charges: Bringing Contraband Into A Place of Imprisonment and Tampering With Evidence

The Jail officers located a syringe that was taken into the jail. The above detention center located the syringe, as the male tried to flush it in a toilet, after being caught with it.

Deputies contacted the above subject, who was found to have a valid Warrant. The Warrant was served without incident. No other action was taken.

Case# 0210009528 Battery Against a Household Member

Victim:  Female, 37, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Joseph Mascarenas, 36, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery Against a Household Member

On October 24, 2010 at 11:54 PM the suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim at a residence at the location.  The altercation turned physical when the suspect struck the victim on the left side of her face with a closed fist.  The suspect also struck the victim on the hand with a broom.  The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

On October 24, 2010 at 10:19 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location and was unable to maintain a single lane of travel.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .08 or greater.  The suspect was unable to produce his valid New Mexico Driver's License or proof of insurance upon request.

0210009480 DWI / Careless driving

Location: NM Hwy 599 @ west frontage Rd, Santa Fe NM (Hwy 599 area)

Arrested: Velma Vigil-Herrera, age 48, Santa Fe NM

On this date at approximately 7:43pm, the above individual was observed operating a Cadillac Escalade. Upon making contact with the driver it was found that she showed signs of intoxication. Subject was given the standardized field sobriety tests. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail and booked accordingly

Victim:  Hispanic Male,17, Santa Fe

On October 23, 2010 between 2:00 AM and 2:20 AM the suspect and victim were at a party at the location.  For reason(s) unknown the suspect struck the victim on the left side of the neck with an unknown type bottle.  The victim was transported to Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center for treatment of a laceration to the left side of his neck and admitted for further treatment.
