Case# 0210008658 Driving While License Suspended or Revoked

Suspect:  Marlene L. Romero, 33, Albuquerque, NM

Charged:  Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, Failure to Dim Lights, Mandatory

                 Proof of Financial Responsibility

On October 6, 2010 at 9:52 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle south at the location and failed to dim her head lamps upon the approach of on coming traffic.  The suspect was unable to produce proof of insurance upon request.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the Arrest Clause Attached unless she is operating a vehicle that is equipped with an ignition interlock system.  The vehicle was not equipped with an ignition interlock system and was siezed in accordance with the Santa Fe County DWI Vehicle Forfieture Ordinance.

Stolen: Maroon 1998 Dodge Caravan, value $4000.00

Arrested: Gloria Gurule age 43, Santa Fe NM
Arrested: Shelia Cordova, age 34, Santa Fe NM

On this date Deputies were assisting Adult Probation and Parole at the above address. The above listed subject was found with drugs and drug paraphernalia which she admitted belonging to her. The drugs were field tested positive, and she was charged with Possession of a controlled substance X2, Possession of Marijuana under 1 oz, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Second suspect was arrested on a probation violation arrest order.

Location: Tierra Real Mobile Home Park - Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Floyd Silva III - age 29, Santa Fe, NM

The above driver was stopped for suspicion of being involved in a an aggravated assault. He was found to exhibit signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He submitted to a breath test and the results were .24 and .25. He was booked into ADC accordingly.

Victim reported that she was standing outside her boyfriend’s home, when she heard gun shots. The victim was not able to decipher who or if someone was shooting at her.

The above driver was involved in a motorcycle crash. When deputies made contact with him, he exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested. He was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment.

 

0210008473/ Felon in Possession of a Firearm/ 10-04-10

Location: Casa Rufina Apartments - Santa Fe

Arrested: Gustavo Gallegos age: 28 and James Tomgkeamaa age: 30

Charges: Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Cocaine.

On 10-04-10 the above individuals were staying in an apartment at the above location. A welfare check was conducted do to the renter of the apartment being admitted into St.Vincent's Hospital. Upon conducting the welfare check the above individuals were located. Gustavo was found to be in possession of a .45 caliber handgun and also found to be a convicted felon. James was found to be in possession of a small plastic bag containing a white substance, which was found to be cocaine. Both individuals were placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

Case#: 0210008504/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 10/4/10

Location:  6400 block of Poplar, Santa Fe, NM (Cottonwood MHP)

On 10/4/10 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that unknown persons gained entry into his residence by prying open the back door.  Victim stated that this occurred between the hours of 0600 and 1600.  Victim stated that unknown persons stole his 46" Sony Bravia flatscreen TV and his HP laptop computer.  Estimated value of items taken is $3100.00.
