Suspect was stopped for a traffic violation that ultimately lead to her arrest for DUI. She provided a breath sample .18 and refused to provide a second sample. She was booked.

Location: U.S. 84/285 Milepost 186, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Zachary Martinez, 28 YOM, Espanola, NM

On Monday, June 14th, 2021, deputies were patrolling the above area when they observed a vehicle without a registration plate. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the above driver. It was learned that his New Mexico license was revoked, due to a previous DWI conviction. The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

The intoxicated suspect got into an argument with his wife. A verbal argument turned physical and signs of abuse were observed. Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

Missing: Adan Cardenas (1981) 5'9 185 lbs.

The reporting party advised they have not seen Mr. Cardenas in about three weeks. They are concerned for his welfare and requested to report him missing at this time. Last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown cowboy boots. Mr. Cardenas is known to frequent the Airport Road area of Santa Fe. A BOLO was put out to the surrounding agencies.

Traffic stop was conducted driver showed signs of narcotic use. SFST were administered and signs of impairment were shown. Driver was arrested and during an inventory narcotics were located with evidence of their sale.

Victim advised she received a email from an unknown person and the coerced her into transferring funds from here account to theirs. Case is still under investigation.

Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle which turned into a dui investigation. The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested. It was discovered he had 4 prior DUI's. He submitted to a breath test the results were .26/.27.

Suspect got into an argument with her husband about infidelity. The argument became physical and signs of abuse were observed. Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

2021004811 / Aggravated DWI / 6-7-2021

Location: Dinosaur Trail at Rancho Viejo Blvd. 

Arrested: Karen Quintana, 52-year-old female from Santa Fe N.M.

On 6/7/2021 a citizen called 911 to report a reckless driver/possible intoxicated driver in the La Cienega area.  He reported the vehicle to be a white Mitsubishi Galant.  Deputies responded to the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.  Soon after the citizen flagged down a deputy on State Road 599 and provided the deputy with a photograph of the vehicle and license plate.  The vehicle was located a short time later at the above stated intersection.  A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Mrs. Quintana who displayed signs of intoxication.  A DWI investigation was conducted and she was subsequently placed under arrest for DWI.  She refused to submit to a breath test and was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail for Aggravated DWI.
