2021004461 / Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle / 5-25-21

Suspect: Lorenzo Gurule / 39 yom / Santa Fe, NM

Suspect was in the act of taking a motor vehicle when Deputy Vigil located him. Deputy Vigil arrested the suspect and booked accordingly.

2021004435/Possession ofa Deadly Weapon by a Prisoner/05-24-2021

Location: 28 Camino Justicia (Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility)

Arrested: Victor Martinez, 35 YOM

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, deputies responded to the above location for an inmate who was found in possession of a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, detention officers advised they located a metal object which had been sharpened to a point. The suspect was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Location: Angelitos Road, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: Phone, Debit and Credit Cards, Passport

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, deputies were advised of an auto burglary at the above location. The victim advised between 2-5pm on 05-24-2021, an unknown person broke a window to gain access to the above mentioned property. This case remains under investigation.

2021004433/Receiving/Transferring Stolen Property/05-24-2021

Location: Agua Fria/San Ysidro Cr., Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Eric Gomez, 44 YOM, Peralta, NM

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, deputies were patrolling the area when they observed occupants not wearing seat belts in a vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and it was found the driver had a revoked driver's license due to a previous DWI conviction. During a subsequent inventory, a stolen Smith and Wesson handgun was located inside the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

2021004420 / Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Distribute, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, No registration

Location: Los Pinos Road at Calle Aventura

Arrested: Raymond Alberico, 36-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

The suspect was stopped for a traffic violation. Driver/ suspect was later found with narcotics and a weapon (handgun). Through investigative research it was learned the suspect is a felon. The suspect was charged and booked into ADC. 

2021004424 / False Evidence of Title or Registration, Driving While License Revoked, No Insurance / 5/23/21

Location: Interstate 25, mile marker 270

Arrested: Christine Tortalita, 31-year-old female from Taos N.M.

On 5/23/21 Ms. Tortalita was involved in a single motor vehicle crash on I-25 due to her wheel coming off the vehicle while driving.  She had an altered temporary tag in the back window that she admitted altering so it appeared to say 2021 vs 2020.  Her driver's license was revoked and she did not have insurance for her vehicle.  She was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Suspect: Ray Anthony Martinez

Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The driver/suspect was later found to be impaired. The suspect was placed under arrest and later booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Suspect: Antonio Ray Martinez

On 5/23/21 Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. While the driver/suspect was exiting the vehicle a small bag/ container was located on his person containing suspected meth. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Suspect was stopped for traveling 97 mph in a 55 mph zone, he showed signs of intoxication and ultimately arrested. He provided breath samples of .08/.09
