Suspect: Pending

Victim reports home was entered through unlocked window and various jewelry along with dvds and cds were taken.  Case is under investigation.

Case#: 0209006337/ Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 07/16/09

Location:  residence off of Tano Alto, Santa Fe, NM

Deputy responded to residential alarm.  Upon Deputy's arrival, he noticed french doors to home were forced open.  Deputy cleared home but was unable to determine if any items were taken.  Deputy did not locate any physical evidence, but noticed brass instruments strewn in kitchen area.  Doors were then secured.  Estimated amount to damaged doors is pending.

Case#: 0209006321/ Battery on a Peace Officer/ Date: 07/16/09

Location of arrest:  28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe, NM (Santa Fe County Jail)

Suspect:  James Cox, age 41, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery on a peace officer

Deputy while at the jail was informed of a battery involving a jail officer.  Victim officer responded to a call of an unresponsive male.  Victim stated when he arrived at the cell,  officers opened the cell door and the inmate rushed the door punching victim in the face.  The inmate was subdued and placed in segregation.  Victim did not have visible injury at time of report.  Suspect refused to give a statement.  Suspect was rebooked on charges of battery on a peace officer.

Case#: 0209006318/ Concealing Identity, Service of Documents/ Date: 07/16/09

Location of arrest:  28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe, NM (Santa Fe County Jail)

Suspect:  Geraldine Lopez, age 45, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Concealing Identity

Deputy was dispatched to the jail to rebook a female inmate found to be using her sister's information.  Deputy was told that the inmate had an active warrant.  Deputy contacted the suspect and she gestured she knew that she gave falsse information.  The inmates identity was confirmed using photographs from the jail.

Location:  residence off of Sundance Street, Santa Fe, NM

On 7/16/09 victim reported that she had left her residence at 1130 hours and returned at 1435 hours.  Victim stated that she noticed her back door kicked in.  Victim stated that unknown person(s) took $250.00 in US Currency coins.  No suspects at this time.

0209006342 Driving on Revoked Driver's License 07-16-09

Deputy Assigned: Brian Nessan

Location: NM State Rd 599 SFNM

Arrrested: David Ulibarri 53yoa

On the above date, the above officer conducted a traffic stop on the defendant who was operating the motor vehicle for an expired registration.  Upon checking driver's license status, the defendant returned with a suspended/Revoked Driver's license with an arrest clause for a prior DWI.  The defendant was arrested and his vehicle was seized.

Case#: 0209006327, DWI, Reckless Driving, Battery on a Peace Officer/ Date: 07/16/09

Location:  Rufina & Henry Lynch Road, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Monique Ortiz, age 22, Espanola, NM

Charged:  DWI, Reckless Driving, Possession of Marijuana less than 1oz., Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Disorderly conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an officer, Red Light Violation, No Insurance, Battery on a Peace Officer

On 7/16/09 suspect was observed traveling onto Rufina (eastbound) from Henry Lynch Road while light was red and nearly striking several vehicles.  A traffic stop was conducted.  Suspect showed signs of impairment.  Suspect began to yell in front of La Petite Academy.  Suspect was in possession of marijuana less than 1oz. and had 2 pyrex pipes.  Suspect did not have insurance for the vehicle.  Suspect was read NM Implied Consent and agreed to be tested in which her BrAC was .10 and .10.  While at the office suspect kicked Deputy in the leg near the groin.  Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Case#: 0209006329/ Aggravated Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 07/16/09

Location:  residence off of Los Tapias Lane, Santa Fe, NM

On 7/16/09 between the hours of 0730 and 1730 hours unknown person(s) pryed open the front door to the residence with an unknown type of tool.  Once inside unknown person(s) stole a gun safe which contained several weapons, a Sony DVD player, and several other items.  Estimated amount of items taken is pending.

0209006309 Unattended Death 07-16-09

Deputy Assigned: Andrew Quintana

Commander Entering: Sgt. Ben Encinias

Location Of Incident: Stonegate Circle

Victim: Jack Foster, Age:81

On 07-16-09 the victim got ill at the above location. When his son was going to transport him to the hospital, the victim collapsed. Medic units were dispatched th the area and attempt was made to revive the victim. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no signs of foul play.
