On April 11, 2009 at 8:44am Ms Elaine Chavez reported that the Aldea Community Center had been burglarized between 4/10/2009 and 4/11/2009. She stated that she had rented the community center for an event that she had hosted on the evening of 4/10/2009. She had returned the following morning and found an East facing exterior window which had been shattered. She had also located, propped up against the South side of the building, a replica M1 Springfield Armory rifle. It appeared that the area had been ransacked. Also a wooden accordian style closet door had been damaged along with a glass office door pane

Location: Camino Capilla Vieja - Santa Fe, NM
Arrested: Artemio Ruiz - age 40, Santa Fe, NM
Deputies responded to a domestic dispute where they learned that the above individual went to his wife's residence and kicked in the door. He started accusing his wife of having an affair and his belligerent behavior caused her and her son to fear battery. Deputies additionally learned there was an active Order of Protection in place against Mr. Ruiz.
Mr. Ruiz was later located at a different residence and place under arrest. He was booked into ADC accordingly.

Arrested: Jorge Garcia-Recinos - age 26, Santa Fe, NM
The above driver was stopped for traveling 81mph on NM 599 in icy, snow packed conditions. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He was additionally found to have two active warrants out of Santa Fe Municipal Court. The driver submitted to a breath test and the results were .16 and .15. He was booked into ADC accordingly.

Charged: DWI, Careless Driving, Resisting or obstructing an Officer
Deputies responded to the above listed location in regards to a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Upon investigation the driver ran a stop sign at the entrance to the Buffalo Thunder Resort and strucj a guardrail head on. Driver was administered SFST and displayed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. Driver was transported to the hospital and a blood sample was obtained. while at the hospital the driver had to be restrained.

On 4-10-2009 at 11:30 PM the suspect was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped at the location for a traffic violation. It was subsequently learned that on 11-21-2008 Rio Arriba County Magistrate Court Judge Alex Naranjo had issued a warrant for the suspect's arrest.

On 4/10/09 victim reported that between 0830 and 1800 hours unknown person(s) forced entry into residence through a rear glass door. Once inside suspect(s) rummaged through the residence and stole a Toshiba laptop, a RCA DVD player, a digital camera, a Remington shaver, a Nintendo DS with games and $75.00 cash. Estimated amount taken is $1,150.00. Estimated damage amount is 1500.00.

On 4/10/09 deputies responded to above location due to neighbor seeing front door wide open. Deputies observed that front door was damaged at the deadbolt. Damage was done to the deadbolt, door frame and front door. Estimated damage amount is about $1000.00. It appeared suspects did not access residence due to alarm going off. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
