2020012159 - Driving on a Revoked License and Expired Registration

Location: 1000 Siler Road Santa Fe, NM

Arrestee: Johnny Paul Chavez, 60 YOM 

On Sunday, October 31st, 2020, Deputy Ficke conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expire registration plate. An MVD inquiry showed the driver, Johnny Paul Chavez's driving privileges were revoked. Chavez was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

2020012165/ Burglary of a motor vehicle & Criminal Damage

Location: Entrada Las Casas, Espanola, NM

On Sunday, October 31, 2020, deputies responded to the above area; in reference, to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Sometime between the hours of 10 pm on 10-30-2020 and noon on 10-31-2020, an unknown suspect entered a pickup in a private drive. The suspect damaged the ignition in the failed attempt to steal this vehicle. The investigation is on going.

Location: 200 Block of Martin Road, Edgewood, NM

Victim: William Repass, 89 YOM

On Sunday, October 31st, 2020, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a not conscious and not breathing male. Deputies arrived on scene and immediately started life-saving procedures until paramedics took over. Ultimately, no signs of life were noted and OMI responded to the scene. No foul play was observed and the death appeared to be of natural causes.

2020012163-Burglary-Larceny-10/31/2020

Location: 7500 Block of Old Santa Fe Trail

Victim: 63 year old male

Items Taken: Central Pneumale air compressor, Lister heat gun, Dewalt 1/2 inch drill and a Makita Impact drill-($840)

Victim stated between Thursday October 29, 2020 at 6:00pm and Friday October 30, 2020 at 8:00am an unknown person(s) took items listed. The residence is an active construction site. Victim lives on property and did not hear or see anything. Victim did not report the incident in a timely manner due to being busy and installing a roof on the residence. Case is under investigation.

Suspect: David Falance / 25yom / Santa Fe, NM

Suspect was arrested for a valid warrant. During the investigation, the suspect was found with a handgun and narcotics. The suspect was charged accordingly.

Suspect: Reena Louis / 37 yof / Albuquerque, NM

Suspect was observed in control of her vehicle. Deputy Ward observed signs of impairment and conducted a DWI investigation. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

Suspect was observed committing a traffic violation. Suspect showed signs of impairment. The suspect was arrested for DWI and booked accordingly.

Suspect: Jeffrey J Aguino 34 year old male Santa Fe NM

On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, deputies responded to location in reference to a motor vehicle collision. Male showed signs of impairment. Male was transported to hospital for his injuries. Male was arrested and booked accordingly.

Suspect: Michael Espinoza 44 year old male Santa Fe NM

On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle possibly related to a burglary. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was found to have a revoked license with the arrest clause. 

2020012073/Aggravated DWI/10.26.20

location 286 I-25 Santa Fe NM

Suspect: Carol Romero 51 Santa Fe NM

Deputies were on Interstate 25 near milepost 286, when the suspect drove by with front end damage and two flat tires on the passenger side. Carol admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving. SFSTs were performed and signs of impairment were seen. She refused to give a breath sample and was booked without incident. Vehicle was towed from the scene.
