On 9-1-2022, Deputy Ronald Lopez responded to a cardiac arrest at a residence of a 77-year-old Hispanic Male. The male was suffered a cardiac arrest and CPR was unsuccessful. Office of Medical Investigator responded and took over the unattended death investigation. Deputy Lopez did not find any signs of foul play. This case is still under investigation.

On Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, deputies responded to the above location for a report of an inmate found in possession of narcotics. Upon arrival, it was found that the suspect had suspected fentanyl on her person. She was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, deputies responded to the above in reference to an inmate having an active arrest warrant out of District Court. The warrant was confirmed as valid and the subject was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, deputies responded to the area for a report of a burglary. Contact was made with the victim and they advised unknown persons entered the residence and stole the above items. There were no signs of forced entry. This case remains under investigation.

Location: Interstate 25, mile marker 270
Arrested: Evan Swain, 27-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 8-31-22 deputies were dispatched to the area of I-25, mile marker 270 in reference to a reckless driver call. Witnesses advised a gold BMW was traveling south unable to maintain its lane and crashed into the guardrail several times. Deputies located the gold BMW at mile marker 264 pulled off the road with Mr. Swain in the driver seat. He showed signs of impairment and damage was located on the vehicle. A DWI investigation was conducted and he was placed under arrest. He refused to submit to a breath test. He was booked into Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

DECEASED: A 67-YEAR-OLD, WHITE MALE FROM SANTA FE COUNTY
On 8-31-22, Deputy V. Baca responded to a residence for a welfare check on a male. This 67-year-old male was found deceased in his home. No signs of foul play were found. OMI took over the investigation and pronounced the male deceased on this date.

DECEASED: 77-YEAR-OLD, SANTA FE COUNTY RESIDENT/ WHITE MALE
On 8-31-2022, Deputy Neito responded to the ski lodge reference to an unresponsive hiker. The hiker was found to have suffered an unknown medical episode and was pronounced deceased by Office of Medical Investigator (OMI). At this time, this case is under investigation by the direction of OMI.

Suspect struck her father in the ear with a closed fist. The suspect admitted to the battery, was arrested and booked.

Location: BLM parking lot (300 block Dinosaur Trl) Santa Fe
Subject was located in the parking lot of BLM at about midnight. She was identified and found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of the Santa Fe Magistrate court for failure to appear on receiving/ transferring a stolen motor vehicle. She was booked into SFADC without incident.
