Arrested: Jhonny Sisneros 53 yoa male (Taos)

Subject was stopped due to deputies receiving a reckless driver call. During contact with the suspect, subject was found to be intoxicated. During field sobriety tests, the suspect showed multiple signs of impairment. Suspect was arrested and refused a breath test. He was then booked into Santa Fe ADC without further incident.

Arrested: Joshua Montoya 30 yoa male (Santa Fe)

Subject was stopped for a speeding violation. During contact with the suspect, subject was found to be intoxicated. During field sobriety tests, the suspect showed multiple signs of impairment. Suspect was arrested and agreed to a breath test which revealed a BRaC of .16,.16. He was then booked into Santa Fe ADC without further incident.

Arrested: Jay Mariano 28 yoa male (Santa Fe)

Subject was stopped due to registration and insurance being suspended through NM MVD. A check of the suspect's license showed his privilege was revoked due to a prior DWI. Suspect was arrested and booked without incident.

Arrested: Emily Friedhof 47 yoa female (Santa Fe)

Subject was stopped after being reported as a reckless driver. The vehicle was located on stopped on a raised median. Suspect admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages before driving. Suspect also showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. Suspect was arrested and refused to provide breath testing. She was arrested and booked without incident. 

Case #2022004850 Agg. DWI, Careless Driving 08-20-22

Location: Shenandoah Trail (NM 14) 

Arrested: Shania Martinez 18 yoa female (Santa Fe)

Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving

Deputies were dispatched to a crash with injuries. Upon arrival a single vehicle crash was located. Investigation revealed the driver was operating east bound and lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The vehicle then rolled, and struck multiple trees and a pipe fence. The driver admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages while driving and showed signs of impairment during field sobriety testing. Suspect was arrested and submitted to chemical testing and provided .11,.10 BRaC samples. A passenger in the vehicle also sustained minor injuries during the crash. Suspect was booked into SFADC. 

Case # 2022004838 Warrant Service/ Possession of controlled substances 8-19-22

Location: I-25 E.Frontage/Metro Blvd. (Santa Fe)

Arrested: Nestor Rodriguez (31 yoa male) Santa Fe

Deputies recognized Mr. Rodriguez as he walked on the frontage road. Before contact with Mr. Rodriguez, SFRECC had advised Mr. Rodriguez had an active warrant for his arrest. He was contacted and arrested on the active warrant which was issued by Judge Ellington for Fail to Comply. During a search incident to his arrest, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and suboxone. He was booked into SFADC. 

2022004824/ Unattended Death

Location: Ladera Road Santa Fe County

Deceased- 83-year-old White Female, Santa Fe County Resident

On 8-19-2022, Deputy Webber responded to residence in Santa Fe County reference to an unattended death. Upon arrival, Deputy Webber found an elderly white female deceased in her bed. OMI (Office of Medical Investigator) arrived and determined the death to be of natural causes, with no foul play involved. The case was turned over to OMI.

Suspect was served an active warrant while she was incarcerated at the jail.

Suspect: Gabriel Barela   Age: 32

On August 18, 2022, Deputies assisted Pojoaque Tribal Police at a traffic stop where they discovered the driver was possibly impaired.  Driver agreed to perform SFST's and refused chemical testing. The driver was subsequently charged with aggravated DWI and booked at the jail.

2022004822/Death Investigation/8-19-22

Location: Encantado Mesa, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: 89 year old male

On August 19, 2022, Deputies responded to the listed location in reference to an unconscious male not breathing.  The male suffered from health problems.  There were no signs of foul play and the death appeared to be natural.
