0217004041/ Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon/ 03/24/17

Charges: Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Battery, Resisting Arrest, Careless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit Cocaine, Aggravated Burglary

On 03/24/17 the above individual was taken into custody for the above charges. The above individual was involved in an altercation with a female friend. The female left the original location and proceeded to the above residence. The male subject also went to the residence where he armed himself with a handgun and entered the residence to look for the female. The above individual struck two males at the residence with the handgun and threatened harm to them. The above individual was taken into custody after he attempted to resist arrest. The above individual was also involved in a single vehicle crash while heading to the residence. The above individual was also found to be in possession of a white powdery substance, which field tested as cocaine. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention.

Items taken-  45acp black Handgun valued at $170.00

Victim reported that an unknown suspect(s) gained forced entry into his vehicle sometime between 3-23-2017 at 11pm and today's date 3-24-2017 around 10am through the driver side window with an unknown object and stole the above mentioned item. Case is under investigation.

0217004050, Auto Burglary/Larceny, 3-24-2017

Location- 10 Block of Camino De Centro, Santa Fe, NM

Items taken: garage door opener

Victim reported that between 4pm on 3-23-2017 and 8am this morning (3-24-2017), unknown suspect(s) gained unlawful entry in his vehicle and stole his garage door opener from his vehicle. During the investigation, there were no signs of forced entry or damage to the vehicle. Case is under investigation.

0217004034-Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property-3-23-17

Location- 100 Block of O Go Wii

Items taken- Clothing, tools and electronics

Victim advised that he had parked his 2015 RV camper at the above location approximately two weeks ago.  When he returned to check on his RV, it was missing.  The RV was later located and upon checking the RV it was found that entry was gained into it by force and the above items were taken.  Value of RV and items taken/damaged is $12,800.  Case is under investigation.

Between March 2, 2017 and March 14, 2017 unknown subjects took the above listed items. Case is under investigation.

0217004011/ Possession of a Controlled Substance/ 03/23/17

Arrested: Leandro Anaya age: 33

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance

On 03/23/17 the above individuals was found to be in possession of marijuana and suboxone. The individual was charged accordingly and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

 

0217004001/ Identity Theft/ 03/23/17

Amount: $5,000.00

On 03/23/17 the victim reported he received a bill for a credit card which was not his a few months ago. The victim stated he hired an attorney to look into his credit history and found another social security number linked to his name. Suspect information is pending at this time.

Amount; $6,850.00

On 03/23/17 the victim reported a fraud, which occurred on June 5th, 2016. The victim ordered window blinds for her residence. The victim provided a personal check to the suspect for the above amount. The check was cashed but the blinds were never delivered. The business appears to have been closed. Suspect information is pending in this matter.

Deceased: Male, 56, Santa Fe, NM

On Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at approximately 8:03pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to an unresponsive male. It was learned that the male had passed away recently and there were no signs of foul play. The Office of the Medical Investigator came to the scene and advised that the cause of death appeared to be natural.

On March 22, 2107 above named suspect was arrested  on failure to comply with EM. Original Charges are Burglary. Suspect was booked  into Santa Fe County Detention Center without incident.
