0216009667 / Recovered stolen vehicle / 6-23-2016

Location: State Road 599 / West Frontage Road    Santa Fe,NM

Vehicle: 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Deputy Zook, while patrolling, conducted a check of the vehicle after noticing that it had been abandoned. The inquiry revealed that it had been stolen out of Los Lunas (Valencia County) on June 22, 2016. The vehicle was processed and Valencia County was notified of the recovery. Case is under investigation.

On the above date deputies were dispatched a reported burglary. The victim was contacted and he stated that he noticed the lock to front window of one of his vacant properties was damaged. Nothing was taken from the property and there was no further damage.

Stolen: 2011 black Jeep Cherokee bearing NSN510-NM

Value: $18,000.00

On 06-21-16 the victim reported he lent the above vehcle to a friend on June 17th, 2016. The friend was supposed to bring the vehicle back on the same day. The friend failed to return the vehicle and the victim has been unable to make contact with his friend. Prior to the vehicle being entered into NCIC the vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle crash in Pojoaque. The occupants of the vehicle fled prior to to Deputies arrival. Suspect information is pending at this time.

Deceased: Male, 63, Edgewood, NM

On Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at approximately 2:20am, Deputies responded to location in reference to an unresponsive male. CPR was conducted until medics took over. Medics were unable to revive the male. The Office of the Medical Investigator responded to the scene and advised the cause of death appeared to be natural causes. The male did have prior medical history and there were no signs of foul play at the scene.

0216009514, Battery Against a Household Member, Criminal Damage, 06.20.16

Arrested: Sabato Deluca, age 69

Deputies responded to the above location and learned the above suspect battered his wife during an arguement.  During the arguement the suspect broke several windows inside the residence.  The above suspect was arrested withourt incident and booked into the jail on the above charges.

Suspect: Dalila Barraza-Morales – 27 - Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Battery on a Household Member

The victim and suspect argued with one another over a current break up. The victim disclosed to the suspect that he was ending the two year relationship and was getting back with his ex-girfriend. The suspect became upset with the victim and slapped him across the left side of his face. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center

On 06-20-16 the victim reported she recieved a phone message on 06-19-16 from an individual claiming to be from the IRS. The victim then recievied a phone call on 06-20-16 from and individual only identified as John with the IRS. The victim was told to go to Walgreens and pay for a $500.00 I-Tunes card so a warrant would not be issued for her arrest. The victim did so and provided the card number and pin to the caller. The victim realized this was a scam and reported the incident. Suspect informationis pending.

Location: NM 14/ Turquoise Trail Ct.

Deceased: 69 year old male (Los Alamos)

Deputy responded to the above location in reference to a crash with injuries. Upon arrival Deputies located a male who sustained massive injuries, and had passed away as a result of the injuries. Investigation revealed the male was riding a motorcycle southbound on NM 14 when he crossed the center line and struck a truck pulling a trailer which was traveling northbound on NM 14.

Location- 100 Block of Berrendo Road

On the above date, Deputy responded to the above location.  Upon investigation, it was found that suspect attempted to take $100 from the victim. Suspect pulled the vicitm out of his vehicle and threw him to the ground causing injuries.  Suspect then went to victims home, forced entry and damaged several things in the home.  Suspect remained on scene and proceeded to attack the victim with a deadly weapon  causing further injury.  Case is under investigation.
